That comes from Caldwell apparently and he’s one of the guys I actually put stock in what they say from the Auburn beat.

He's the absolute best when it comes to this stuff.

I mean even the guys on On3 pulled away from him a bit.

College football staff and recruiting has become clown world.

We are just customers at a circus watching them all perform.

So now Kiffin is back in the mix? Maybe we will make a hire A-Day game weekend?

Kiffin has to be trying to leverage his NFL offers to get more money from Auburn.

Either way, Freeze needs to make a decision. He is going to dick around, have Durkin take another job stalling him, have Kiffin decide to stay in the NFL, and leave us empty handed.

That’s why I’m surprised we aren’t at least talking with Scott Symons. He was DC at Liberty with Freeze, Garrett, and Aldridge (who was his roommate in college) and has done a tremendous job as DC at SMU.

Why is everyone being so
Impatient with the DC hire. Just get it right this go around. Nothing is happening right now that having a named DC helps or hurts.

Completely agree, it's only been two weeks since Robert’s was let go. Probably just now seriously engaging in discussions with Kiffin. People are so impatient with hiring timelines.

I do not think it will be Durkin, in fact I would surprised.... There is not a huge hurry to name a DC except we want to know. I suspect we know by Monday.

Same approach as we took for our head coaching search when we got Harsin.
