So season ticketholders already donate to TUF for the privilege of being able to buy season tickets and are then asked to do more on top of that because now they have to help buy players too?

The TUF donation is tax deductible too. I don’t see how NIL could be tax deductible.

NPR funds most of their operation from listener contributions. They ask people to donate based on how much they listen and value the programming.

I think there will be a small percentage of the fan base willing to donate twenty bucks a month along with a few fat cats willing to donate several thousand.

It could add up.

Italy has always been my fav foreign trip. Looking forward to seeing Ireland after 2 Covid cancels.

But won’t be able to take ya. My wife has dirt on me and Auburn will get the rest. Lol.

Twitch streamers make millions a year off of donations. Say Auburn has a million fans. If just 10% of them donate 5 dollars a month for some special perk, that's 500k/month that can go to players. Split it to only starters getting NIL deals, and each player is getting 22k a month just from this. If a player is a starter his whole career that's ~1 mil over 4 years in just this. I'm not sure where the NIL deals currently stand and how they are structured, but that's a lot of money for anyone.

You all have valid points. But again, This is why we can't have nice things

You have said that a few times now DVT, what exactly do you mean by that? Are saying we cant have nice things because everyday , regular people do not look forward to shelling out their hard earned dollars to pay football players to come play at their college, who are going for free, after shelling out tuition for their own kids?

I will tell you that I enjoy college football. And I have been watching longer than most here due to my old arse age. But, in a list numbered from 1 to 100 of my good things to spend my money on, 1 being food for my family and 100 being extra sprinkles on donuts, paying someone elses kid to come play football for Auburn is about 99. And thats just behind buying drinks for Fear the Thumb and Brannigan at 98

I agree with all of this, and I am in my 30s.

And for the record, I have no money to donate and I would not if I had it. Mostly because it is not that important to me but basically because the entire premise it just fricking a bad idea

Per discussion on other boards, the starting subscription rate will be a minimum $250 per month. There is talk about going down in the future.

Not sure what the max is. Probably isn’t one.

For Profit Business!!!

That's why if we are thinking this is going to be our NIL magic pill it's gonna fail. They may do some things for the players and get some "exclusive" stuff for the fan that pays but in the end there is a middle man that's going to be stuffing their pockets or they wouldn't do it

Multiple concerns. How much does the not for profit keep. (Many keep 90 percent or more). The sad puppy’s is one that gives less than 1 percent

The other concern is the larger the fan base, the more money can be funneled to recruits. Think Texas, TAMU, Bama.
