I say he comes back next year because his buyout is $27 million with $13.5 million due within the first 30 days. Arkansas isn't got to be able to pay Chad Morris his $20 million buyout plus pay Auburn $7 million to buyout his contract. The only way we can get their attention is to stop buying tickets and merchandise. Get ready for another mediocre season on the plains in 2020.

Only way he leaves this year is if he voluntarily goes to Arkansas

It's not dumb, it's the only way our voice will be heard loud and clear.

Yeah... sabotaging your program bc you don’t like your 7-3 coach is a bad idea.

We are not the ones sabotaging the program, Leath and Jay Jacobs sabotaged the program with the big contract.

Why do people believe JJ was involved? The public reporting on his opposition to it isn't hard to find.

I don't agree, we have to continue to invest in our program. We just got a $10 million dollar donation for the football facility.

We do need a new coach that EVERYONE can rally around (Happened at UGA, Bama, etc.)

JGT is saying he does not believe believe Gus will be back NEXT year when asked. He also believes almost certainly that the BOT will work to get rid of Gus. (May know nothing, but rumblings are there).

EDIT: My rumor is that we will just promote CS from defensive coordinator. Follow LSU's lead. That will not cost us much in the way of money. Net Neutral actually.

Because people hated JJ and still try to belittle every good thing he did while magnifying all his mistakes.

1. Have the fans ever not been heard? We have a reputation for a quick trigger finger.

2. You would be the ones sabotaging the program

3. The mob making decisions isn’t going to work at well at all

4. The people you said sabotaged the program are gone so why are you boycotting different people?

Bryan Matthews Rivals..

I’ve touched on the whys before such as sub-par recruiting and development at just about every offensive position along with the still inexplicable decision to go away from the dual-threat quarterback and zone read schemes that he used to run roughshod over the SEC in 2010, 13 and 14. But I’m not sure that matters anymore.

The bottom line...it’s his offense that continues to shoot blanks in Auburn’s biggest games.

No Auburn coach can sustain a 6-15 record against LSU, Georgia and Alabama. It’s becoming an untenable situation.

That has no substance. Just reporters expressing an opinion for their subscribers. We cant spend 35 MM to move Gus. After next year, the tag will drop to 20-25 MM and we will offer a lump sum around 12. For those thinking Gus is gone this year, you are just setting yourself up for disappointment.

I'm starting to think he is gone after the season one way or another. Depends on the type of loss we suffer against Bama. Some semi-competitive 34-23 type loss and it might be more of a mutual parting of ways. 49-14 type loss and there might be enough to juice to fire him outright.

Sorry, I love Auburn regardless of the success of the football team. Been there for some lows, been there for some highs. I'm not going to quit buying anything.

Whereas:

I have no problem that we couldn’t run the ball against one of the best rush defenses in the country last game.

Whereas:
I have no problem that we had to pass 50 times to give us our best chance of winning despite that going against our collective offensive identity.

I do have a problem with Gus’s record against our rivals. We should win just as much as we lose. Any success percentage below 40% should get a coach Fahred. If Gus beat the rivals when they were weaker, and lost to the stronger teams, everything would be different today. His success rate would be much different while the rivals’ lead in the series not jumping significantly ahead.

I can think of at least 5 losses against Georgia and LSU that could’ve been wins. 4 that should’ve been wins. His success rate would’ve been near 50% which is much more tenable.

Gus may gave not lost the team but he has lost the fans, alumni, students, and probably the majority of the BOT. You cant just get a straight answer from him either. Why did you meddle and allow the poor recruiting on the offensive line? Why havent you brought in experienced successful coaches on the offensive side that could recruit, develop, coach, and bring new ideas to play design. Why have you been inable to recruit elite backs; elite receivers? Why are you unable to make tangible adjustments at half time? Why would you say at this point on the season, that the offense is a work in progress?

It will be overall more expensive to fire him next year, than it would this year. He’d draw a salary and a $21M buyout next year.
