Family had a place there. Great golfing, fishing, local restaurants. Very lowkey...then Hurricane Opal destroyed it.

Hope you are enjoying the beach. Were you able to find those stores without a problem?

I actually have not looked yet. We are going to do some steaks tonight then go look tomorrow.

We went to the beach a couple of times but it’s very crowded. Spending most of our time here at the pool. Just basically doing nothing.

We have VERY different definitions of paradise.

Dude, this 1/4 oz small frame spinnerbait is exactly what I've been looking for. Put these on the website too so I can order some more of them. And the buzzbaits!

We need some rain here. Damn water level on the river has been below my NO GO level for a while now. Jon boat in the shop for a carb problem. Big boat getting the trailer axle replaced this week. I need to go fishing pretty bad.......

Glad you liked them. They are on there in a lot of colors. Just go to Shad Head spinnerbaits and select 1/8 or 1/4. I should have it all updated in a few months. Just takes a while.

If you don’t see what you want, email me.

Ordered more of those compact 1/4's and some 1/8 buzzbaits (well, they are 1/4oz, but put 1/8 in the notes). Thanks bro! Hopefully the water gets up a little bit this week and I can go again.

Awesome. Will get them first of the week when I return. Sitting at the pool today. I had a few beers but I am about to open the top on a new bottle of Knob Creek. The wife gave me the green flag. Not going anywhere all day.

Supposed to get some rain today and tomorrow. Hope the water is up enough to go.

I've found a little house on the Cahaba that isn't for sale, but could be if we made an offer. I'm taking the wife by there today or tomorrow to look at it. We'd like to see it from the water this weekend if possible. Never thought I'd get my city girl out of the suburbs and into the county. I'd get to downsize, reduce debt, AND be on the river all at the same time without adding any significant commute times. It's too goo to be true, I'm sure.

I'd be jealous. River lots here are limited and high $.

You need to hit the river when it's too low to fish. I had the same thing happen a few years back and decided to go regardless. It was super painful to get 8 miles up the river and took me close to 2 hours in my johnboat, due to having to pull it across the sand a few times. Killed it though. 25-30 spots and shoal bass. The holes with cover have them stacked in. No one else is dumb enough to go so I have the water to myself too. Now, I go all the time when it's "too low to fish."

Leeds.

We fish from Bass Pro Shops down to the Galleria takeout. I’d love to find anything along that stretch of the river.

Summertime is low water time which is buzzbait and frog time! I wish I could adequately describe how those Cahaba spots hit a damn topwater bait.

Nice stretch.

Especially being in the upstream watershed north of B'ham. That's one of it's cleanest sections for sure.

You're at the beach at an awesome place. It was noon. You'd already had a few beers. And your wife told you to start drinking whiskey.

frick you.

I will not try to downgrade it. Yes, it was a awesome day and if you guys will do your part and re-elect The Donald one more time, It will more than likely become my everyday life before his 4 years are up.

I do believe it would be enough for me to make it...

TIA. I will save you a bar stool and a empty glass...

Let me know what you think of Orange Beach vs 30A.

Been starting to look for beach houses on 30A but prices in Orange Beach are so much better. I just don't know much about it
