For the record, I am not an avid fisherman so that subject doesn't interest me. I much prefer the photos of you drinking on the beach with your wife's legs next to you.

Good luck with that. And everything else.

It was all in jest, just to poke a little. I started with just you posting photos of you drinking at the beach and then I flash memory of a long time ago you posted one of you and your wife chilling at the beach.

No offense meant.

Exactly. Constructive roster management in the scenario that he is WR1 because he is metaphorically speaking the tallest midget is eventually letting his role diminish while others take over. Not just replacing the tallest midget and starting over again.

I don’t know what Hudson did wrong but his departure is a tough loss.

And to whoever said something to the effect of “this isn’t the end of Auburn football.”

No it’s not. But it’s going to hurt next year.

I agree being calculated, and with the transfer portal, then it makes it easier.

As we did last year, and we as fans had no idea if the new WRs could replace Williams, Schwartz, and Stove but we did with TR Robertson, and the younger guys. If you remember we thought for sure that Capers and Canion would be t top guys to start and look what happened.

I hate losing an experienced WR in Hudson, but he was not like losing an all american WR. We will replace him with something equal.

Let's start with Harsin is competitive AF. I hope we can agree on that.

Next, in research/statistical terms its called a multifactor variant, or a nomological network. These are all the things that head coaches emphasize to reach their goals. What they value as important. IMO, this is where most coaches fail that go from assistant to head coach. They can't even identify what they are. I think Harsin has done that, and he's been a successful head coach.

Third is a process to implement your nomological network, or simply stated, your philosophy. That includes everything above but the day-to-day execution. The budgets, the people, the whole thing aligned.

Personally, I think we have two of the three with Harsin. With time we'll see about the third.

I was looking at this a while back, and was just comparing Harsin's staff to Saban's. Harsin has a huuuuuge off-field staff while Saban seems to be very minimalistic on that approach. I'm not sure it's the best thing to have a big staff like we do or not.

Ummm...do what? The NCAA made a rule minimalizing how many assistants you can have on staff, specifically because of Saban having so many off-field coaches.

Yeah, not sure where he got that. Saban's system is basically copied by every program now.

No we didn’t. My argument isn’t we can’t find bodies.

I think there's probably 1000 different ways to be successful in any role, much of it determined by effort. Apply it to your own job or company. I spent my first five years in tech sales copying people that were successful. Then I got my own sea-legs and did things my way and was successful. I wasn't dressing up in clown suits or anything, but I hired people my way, I managed my own way, etc.. Same thing for Harsin. I actually like the fact that he's being a hard-arse on the roster. He's got a 3 year window for AU to look like how he wants it. IDK anything about Hudson, but goodbye. Let's see what happens.

No rivalry just different opinions. But his melt on everyone in this thread is comical to someone that’s says they are so chill and everyone else is over reacting.

Alabama coaching staff

Auburn coaching staff

Unless there are a bunch of hidden coaching staff members for Alabama, my statement is accurate

So you believe that Alabama's entire football staff is 11 on field coaches, and 4 support staff? They don't even have Grad Assistants?

Yea, they just aren't listing their entire support staff.

Seems I’m just fine and you’re pissing all over yourself about what others think.

And for the record I don’t even remember our last conversation. So carry on. Son!

What I posted is 100% fact. The NCAA created a rule specifically because of how many off-field coaches Saban had. I seriously doubt he has less than what he is allowed to have.
