Seriously though, our TEs have become an absolute strength of our entire team, not just offense, and they are getting better.

We may really need only ONE legit deep threat, QB TBD and all, but a really deeeeep and talented and VERY experienced TE group in the passing game and especially in the run game when we are lacking depth / talent on the OLine will go a long way. As well,one or more of them could play outside or beef up and play with a hand in the dirt. The group as a whole presents some serious (potential) mismatches. Like 2013 when we witnessed surgical magic with the R/O.

We may not have the receivers and as of the moment we don't have a QB that can get them the ball anyway. Play to our strengths - running the ball downhill and using our TE talent, depth and experience.

ETA if we work to establish that as our identity on offense this year. I think a TF Geriner could run that (and AU could surprise some people. We do that sometimes).

ETA 2 - should have read the entire thread before posting, but mckibaj laid it out right there. Build on that and make that type of ball our Offensive identity this year. I will have nightmares of Hunter Henry down the seam, Hunter Henry on a deep out, Hunter Henry jump ball in the endzone, Hunter fricking this Hunter fricking that. I want THAT. And I am 100% with Tailback. Give him two more years and then let's revisit Team Identity, Kobe Hudson and whatnot.

Unless he just effed up all on his own by making a really bad decision, and he broke one of the Cardinal rules laid down when Harsin got here. As in, you do A, B, C, or D, and you are gone with no second chance.
I did stupid shite when I was 20 years old too.

He was our number 1 receiver. He had his drops but he got better as the season went along. Sometimes people were attributing drops to him that weren’t even his fault. See the bowl game. You cannot just write the guy off without replacing him. We actually have to replace Kobe. DROB, Shed, and others as well and it’s not like any of us can reasonably expect an upgrade.
