First, I dont blame Cam for leaving, he is on a better team with a better QB.
But Cam, Texas didnt pay you millions to remain flat footed and let that small DB jump over you and snatch it out of your hands.
I liked the commentator's retort. "Kayin said this is just like practice at Auburn". That was funny.

Have you watched Texas’s offense?
It’s pretty offensive. Arch is not good and Coleman hasn’t done crap outside of cupcakes.
Glad it’s not us paying him anymore for mediocrity.

Cam has less receiving yards than Singleton and Nimrod. Perry Thompson has done literally nothing at Minnesota and Malcolm Simmons has 94 yds through 4 games as a backup. Just dropping a bit of info

I’ve watched it enough to know that I would give just about anything if we could swap offensive lines with Texas.
Texas OL = way above average
Auburn OL = way, way below average

Was Brown Sacked yesterday at all? I'm more pissed at the play calling yesterday. Wasting first and second down on runs into the teeth of the defense then a 3rd and whatever attempt that falls flat for 2-3 straight drives. Brown is not progressing like I had hoped, OR the receivers aren't getting open, OR the scheme isn't doing them favors. Might be all three. Hope I'm wrong

I was contemplating bumping the "Cam Coleman" thread from late 2025 wherein multiple posters were arguing with me about Coleman's supposed "elite athleticism" and ability that we could not replace.
I told you guys then: his ONLY elite skill is his red-zone jump ball ability. This is an important skill to have, but truly elite WR's dominate in multiple facets of the game. Which Cam Coleman has literally never done in what is now his 3rd season of college ball.
He is not "fast". He is not strong or physically imposing. He is not freakishly tall. He does not run great routes. Cornerbacks are routinely stuck to his hip in coverage. He also seems to give half-arse effort so whatever athleticism he has is also negated by the fact that scrappier defenders will outwork him for the ball.
Has there been a more overrated supposed talent at Auburn in recent memory? This is a guy that most Auburn fans were convinced was a ~Top 3 WR in the entire country based off of ~3 marginally impressive catches over a two season stretch.
And lets not forget that like 3 of Thorne's interceptions were literally perfectly thrown balls that hit Coleman in the hands, which he proceeded to deflect into the air.

The entire offensive philosophy is based of success in the running game. You want the safety to creep up so you can go over the top 1 one 1.

That was my first thought as well.
Cam didn't fight for that ball at all.
He's got zero dog in him. He's all just gold chains and watches.

He preserved the win against Bama- for Bama.
A big moment and he failed abysmally.
Maybe he wins the Bilitnikoff and becomes an NFL Hall of Famer, but so far in big moments he’s failed.

This was super frustrating. It was clear or it is clear that running between the tackles with this line is not a strength. We have to run the ball, but we gotta scheme up something different. I think we broke one run all day from that play.

That was my frustration with the three and outs to start games. Heck we all know we are having problems running the ball, for fricks sake dont run it off center the first two plays of the game when they have 7 or 8 guys crowding the line.
Course then we throw it late across the middle, like a friggin rocket, behind the receiver and it ricochets off him.

It has always amazes me being a 5’ 8” 170lb guy that humans that are 6’3-6’6” 300lbs can’t at least hold serve on an offensive line. I get the other guys are about as big, but just baffles me that (we particularly) can’t move the person in front of us enough to allow a RB to gain 4 yards a carry.
Like can you imagine waking up in the morning at 6’ 5” 310lbs and looking yourself in the mirror and know you are staring at a titty baby?

I assure you there is no shortage of 6’ 5” 310lbs 18 year olds that would come to Auburn to play for some NIL.
It's called genetics (force production) - something that can't be willed.
These titty babies at Auburn could probably annihilate your vertical as an 18 year old.
