Yes, Harsin is 1-9 vs P5 teams since Nov2021 and recruiting is a disaster. Not sure what they are waiting for... if they want to wait another 2-3 weeks fine, but it seems like we don't have a plan at all.

Not sure why some of you get so emotional over opinions. Yes he is recruiting, but UF also is currently more talented than AU at every position and Napier's game planning and preparation is worse than Harsin. I know we want to bash all things Harsin, and his program management is embarrassing. But he puts a good gamelan together. He just hasn't recruited well enough to build depth. Hence our second half collapse(s).

The money difference is non-existent. His buyout it set up in a way wherein there is only a few hundred thousand saved. You're paying him regardless because he's getting paid to coach all those remaining games. Any money you "save" will be lost by way of empty seats at the stadium as this team is on it's way to a ~4-8 type season.

This seems to all be held up by Roberts wanting a new AD hired first. I don't understand the logic there, but I don't think money has anything to do with it because again...his buyout isn't dropping much.

Probably auburn PR trying to get in front but no matter, what happened last winter is done.

We have a terrible habit of letting things drag out with constant uncertainty which keeps us in turmoil

I’ve had this argument before, but the only way us plebs can make our voice known is with our dollars and support. Call and tell them you are stopping any donations. Don’t go to the games.
People will scream, but you’re not supporting our players. Well, it’s the only way. If you don’t, then you can’t really complain about what happens.

Well, there is no doubt that about 100 people do the majority of the funding, but there’s about 65,000 that have major influence (every home game)

What have you seen that tells you he has put in a good game plan? Our Offense has looked like a good team maybe 6 qt all year.

It doesn't take any "insider" information to say that we're waiting to hire an AD.

It does no good to fire Harsin right now to try and get a jump on a coaching search. No serious coach or agent of any serious coach is going to even talk to Auburn without an AD in place. The PTB need to get off their asses and get an AD in place like yesterday. That way we can rip the band-aid off and start working toward getting the program pinned in the right direction.

We should have won 10 games last year. Our 1st half leads this season. I am not saying Harsin is a master at X&O's. But generally we come into a game prepped. Our conditioning is worlds better than Gus' teams. Harsin needed to recruit the portal like Lane has while he established his HS presence. His assumption he could coach up kids was way off and will get him fired.

My understanding is they just interviewed last week. Rumor was someone was already picked, but others would not have interviewed if that was the case.

I completely agree but I’m being realistic. These decisions are usually made based on perception. At least timing-wise.

Advantages of waiting.

Let Harsin go down as the worse coach in Auburn History.

Show the media that we had no choice.

Teach us that their are no true insiders working at pay sites.

All of those are advantages for ego, not for actually fielding a good team anytime soon

Where do people come up with this?

Conditioning and finishing games out go hand in hand. Which should staff could close out games and not get out scored 1255555 to 43 in the second half.

No one disagrees that it was time for Gus to go but to continue to blame Gus for the 2022 team is dumb. To act like Gus isn’t a good coach is dumb.

There were 2 people Lanier and I that gave forewarning to be careful what you wish for when dumping Gus.

LSU is the only game this far we’ve come into “well prepared “ based on the results.

Team that always falls apart in the 2nd half is well conditioned, got it.

This is moronic, you can hate Gus all you want but no need to carry water for Auburn’s worst Coach if the modern era.

It’s not the conditioning it’s the lack of depth. Never seen a roster this deplorable
