Not at 30m but close I think it’s right around 27m. Which would put us somewhere around 10th or 11th in spending in the conference

Meh, we've been bad and unenjoyable, but as far as quantifying anything and declaring we are rock bottom, no one else plays Alabama and Georgia every year. Even the teams in the top 8 don't beat them regularly over the time period. Schedule matters.

I wouldn't blame Golesh for much yet. He hasn't had time to prove himself or even build up a team on the field. DJ has no excuse for his entire defense to be this bad.
Even with history what it is, we have had good players (even with like Bo Nix) that just haven't amounted to anything at Auburn. We have changed players and coaches and still stay in the same rut.

Offensively the issue this year will be the rebuilt OLine. Defensively tackling drills and better pass coverage or we won't have a defense this year.

Maybe one day these coaches will figure out that offense and defense needs to be built from the lines out. We’ve sucked for far too long at the point of attack.

Golesh has talked a lot about how OL is important but built through experience and continuity in the system.
Auburn doesn't spend enough in NIL $ to buy a portal OL talent

We have not only been non competitive with the top half of the league the past 20 years, a large chunk of those games involved us being run out of the building. When you look at the head to head versus the mid tier teams in the league, we are barely hanging onto a winning record. Even at the bottom of the league we are squeaking by and Vandy is currently owning us.

I really liked Gus...was the first one on the Gus Bus and ones of the very last off. I did think there needed to be a change: either he changes, or he's replaced. I thought he was fixable, but should you really have to "fix" a head coach, coach the coach so to speak? The answer to that is probably "no," and he may have been too stubborn to take the guidance anyway.
I've long wondered whether Gus was as much of an innovator as he got credit for, or was he just someone who did one thing that was innovative. There's a difference.
He did beat peak Nick Saban three times, and that's more than anyone else can say.

Gus wouldn’t have survived NIL, Saban quit because of it.

Hoping that Golesh gets it. So far the jury's still out on his QB selection.
The previous coaches either were horrendous judges of QB talent(most likely) or thought they could make do with C- talent ("my scheme doesn't need a stud QB") or thought they could coach em up.

Pat Dye used to have the biggest say in who we hired
Since he passed away, the clown show took over and picked wrong coach after wrong coach
Our program died when Pat died
And John Cohen is one big JINX (isn’t it amazing how Miss State’s entire athletic department took off to the upside after Cohen left!!!)
Golesh will get all this shite fixed
Here’s how I know:
He is humble and willing to adapt unlike the other bozos we have had as HC with HUGE EGOS and are never wrong and think they are smarter than anyone in the room!

Can’t argue with that. You can trace the erosion of the program as a whole all the way back to the beginning of atrocious qb play and development. The program has been a dumpster fire for 20 years but most didn’t notice the flames until Harsin arrived

That's the part people leave out. Gus was on his way out but firing him in the financial position we were in left us with few options. In hindsight we would have been better off either riding out two more seasons with Gus or making Steele the HC until we were ready to make a run at another high level HC

Wow, what a depressing list. Out of all of that futility, what hurts me the most is UGA. At one point, before they went on a run, the series was even in wins and even in points scored. It was the epitome of a rivalry.

its even worse when you flip 2010 and the wackiness that ended the 2013 season. Probably going 0 and 3 vs Bama, UGA and LSU in 2010 and 0 and 2 vs Bama and UGA in 2013.. That leaves the program 2-16 vs Bama and 1-16 vs UGA AND 4-12 vs LSU when you remove the Cam and Nick qb outliers.Twenty years of bad football is hard to stomach when you realize how bad its been.
