We live in a world where that guy will be fired for incompetence and will be rewarded with millions of bags of money for that.

It’s truly amazing. I should have been a football coach.

Athletes are overly paid just like the coaches… society doesn’t value true contributors but being entertained…

Hurts my soul I came home from my 20th reunion to Auburn being up 17-0 and Mizzou being up 19-6 and as soon as I start watching both those games get fricked away like a donkey on a volleyball

Every one bitched about paying Gus 20 mil to leave. Now lets see how they like paying this clown 15 mil to leave after his great stint.

Dude sucked to start. Now he has just quit on his job and his players. He lost this game tonight and its not even close. You cant take the game away from the players

He should be fired and told to frick off

Is there any way we can fire him for negligence (i.e. ignoring recruiting) and not pay him?

Only because people in a power position allow other people in power position to make dumb decisions. Yes. This is a hate on Allen Greene.

If all these stories about his completely ignoring recruiting are true, then it does nothing but hurt us for this clown to stay another day.

This is correct. He is hurting the program right now more than he is helping

Entertainment is why folks get paid so much. Atheletes get it for performance. Coaches because they lead the enterprise and institutions have to pay market. Only a few are worth the dollars, but can’t blame them for taking generational money. Not a way to stop it.

There are way more things that are more infuriating than this.

How does one get elected to Washington with essentially no wealth and soon become a millionaire on 240K per year? They don’t vote according to their constituency most of the time, in step with their party leadership. Incompetency is in surplus on Capitol Hill, but voters keep electing the same people over and over again.

This isn’t just at the federal level either. That is way more infuriating than a guy like Harsin who just didn’t fit in to SEC level of football and only took advantage of an opportunity offered to him. I’m more mad that we just keep repeating the same scenario over and over again.

I was wondering this. My guess is Auburn would end up in court and would probably settle or lose. It makes AU look really bad IMO unless there are some smoking guns we aren't aware of.

We tried that already and it didn’t work.

The AU braintrust (BOT and connected boosters) made a series if poor hires, primarily Leath, Greene, and Harsin. We bought out the first two and will do the same with the third.

The main concern is whether or not our leaders have learned anything from their previous mistakes. Roberts seems to be ok at first blush, but he’s a company man. Let’s see how the AD hire goes.

Malzahn was hired by committee. Harsin was hired by someone with no ties to the SEC. Kinda makes sense when you think about it. AD with no SEC experience hires a guy with no SEC experience.

I have very little doubt though, that Harsin was no where near the top of list. We got told no, early and often.

I'd let him take the L in Athens and fire him directly after, tell him to find his own way home.

Every contract needs to come with a performance clause that either pays more or less with a loss of payout on fire for losing seasons.

Agreed, but won't ever happen unless other schools start doing that. Schools like A&M, have made this mess with grossly overpaid coaches.
