It’s really not. Packing classes with bodies turns a one year problem into a 4 year problem. That’s not going to happen.

Keyword was void.

I can use void if you want too.

Harsin has already said he’s not doing this. I don’t even know why it’s being discussed

My only concern with the national strategy is if we put in a lot of resources and don't get any return. We're competing with our rivals in Alabama, Georgia, and Florida, but on the West Coast we're still competing with them along with USC, Oregon, etc. I do hope it works out because that type of recruiting is what you need to get to the next level.

We have a whole recruiting department so that we can recruit whatever guy is the best fit. I don’t think it has to be one or the other.

I also don’t think they’re necessarily focusing on the national level. But some of these coaches will have inroads to a guy in an area that we don’t traditionally recruit and those are worth exploring, IMO

Neither do I.

No one said packing the class or filling out the roster....Was just replying to not get uptight. As in there's fun in watching who grows, who goes, and how the need to be replaced get filled. We speakie berry same thing... me stinks.

Harsin knows that Alabama, Georgia, and Florida is the prime area for AU. He also believes he can try to cherry pick from other areas because of the Family cultural at AU and his belief in his system.

Under normal circumstances if the kid is interested he will agree to at least a visit to campus. Once on campus anything is possible. If the kid won't visit you know he's not interested. It's not a waste of time only takes a few interactions to find out if you are truly in for a recruit or not.

My personal preference is that we get in roads back into South Florida, into Louisiana, and up the east coast more. High school football and development is really improving in South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia and Maryland.

We also need to be savage in and around Atlanta and surprisingly around Nashville. Nashville is growing like crazy and big money families moving in with the wealth to improve facilities and coaching staffs at the high school level. It will be the next hot bed if you can keep it from turning into Memphis East.

New offer out to DB Cayden Bridges. 3* on 247 and currently committed to South Alabama. Staff is high on him and offered him a few days ago. Miss St offered today.

This kid is a steal if we get him. He has great size and length. He is fluid and has good hip movement. Makes a good play on the ball. Do not sleep on these 3* MS kids. They seem to fall under the radar.

You get what you can get when you miss the first signing day.

The early signing day really sucks. Let's just go back to early February.

I believe the early signing period did exactly what it was intended, to put the value of the scholly back in the hands of the school versus the whims of some 18 year old kid performing hat tricks.

Now they know if they dont pick a school they may not get their first or second choice, sure if they are good they will get a scholly but not where they want to be and thats a heck of a mistake on a life decision.

We just ran into covid and not having a coach.

As far as recruiting kids far from Auburn, who decides a kid wants to play close to home? Is it the fact that most schools concentrate their efforts in recruiting close to home or the fact kids want to play close to home?

And who makes that decision? Diddi Bowden made a living telling mommas their kids could stay in south florida with their current running buddies and end up dead or in prison, or come to floda state and be a star.

30 years ago I moved to NO and was unpacking with the TV on and had the local station on, my wife said "hey that fella preaching there looks familiar, I looked at the TV and it was Diddi Bowden, I said he aint preachin honey hes cruitin.

I'm curious how he fits into the scheme, if we are actually running a 3-4. Leota seems more like a 4-3 DE.
