Phillip O Brien committed to Pitt. Could it be he knows his recruiter won’t be retained?

Primary: Porter
Secondary: Mcgriff

Personally, I would work on our guys who are here, and see about pulling some of the guys he had at Boise. With no one losing a year of eligibility, this recruiting class won't hurt as much.

I don't think its that big of a hit.. We are pretty deep at DB anyway. If Sherwood, Smoke or Peters comes back next year we will be fine.

Unfortunately, the teams that whipped us like redheaded stepchildren have all their eligibility as well, AND they had better recruiting by far than us this year.

We will be a little worse before it gets better, just hope we have the patience to let him lay a foundation and get back to being competitive.

If the two JC boys contribute and we can get one or two decent OL from the portal perhaps we can piece together a decent offensive line and Nix will see the paradigm shift in performance that we saw from the Borrows and Mac Jones of the world.

We have the receivers, you realize this last cycle three of the receivers we signed were all ranked higher than Seth Williams? And we have 18 TEs on the roster. Nix just needs to stop this lovefest with Seth and do a progression (provided we have one with the new coaches).

We have as much talent as anyone not named bama. Bama will lose a lot 3 HTC at least. WE should have a great season next year if we don't hit hard by players transfering.

Don’t have much depth though. See 2018 recruiting class.

Did we watch the same football team this year? We need a ton of help on both lines of scrimmage

We have to develop the WR and get in some OL and DL help. Also, from our RB injuries we need way more depth if we lose Worm and MAR!

2 solid RB’s should be able to carry the load. I’m not so concerned about RB but agree on all other points.

We have the talent at WR if nobody transfers

Sorry, that's not true. We have it in some areas, and the most telling thing is we don't have in the depth.

We have 1 really good RB, most of them have at least 2.
We dont have anything equal on the OL, or at LB or at some spots along the DL.
We have at Kicker, not punter, we have some good ones at DB, but not many.
QB we have 1, and hes proved inconsistent, but not totally his fault.

And unless we come up w better signees this year, there will be a big void in our 2 deep, and we have no clue how well BH recruits.

Let’s keep the coaching change conversation on the other threads on the board.

This one is just recruiting. Yes, coaches come into play but let’s keep this on track for at least a few more weeks. There’s a lot going on and it’s better if we don’t have to sort through other stuff to get to the thread’s purpose
