This is what happens to a recruiting class when you fire your coach several days ahead of NSD and don’t have a replacement.

In a normal 2020 season, Gus would’ve been fired 12/1, a new coach announced 12/7-12/8, and would have had a week to pin down a class. Three years ago, they would have had two full months. It’s one of the many things that made this a challenging year to can your coach.

It is what it is. We’ll probably finish between 20-25 and need to recruit a few extra players to the next few seasons to use an extra year of eligibility granted by the NCAA for 2020

This is the biggest thing for whatever coach we hire, yes this year's class is going to suck but in theory we lose no one. If an exciting coach comes in and convinces players to stay one more year this class is a wash.

So bama got 2 5 star OT, a 4 star center, a 4 star guard, and will probably sign our 4 star guard.

We signed one 3 star lineman

And we wonder why Armoni, coming off a knee injury, would not want to play behind our line? (I know he is probably going to LSU).

My point is, watch the skill recruiting go down as we continue to have OL recruiting problems (to put it lightly).

I don’t think anyone is wondering why Goodwin isn’t coming at this point

Still, not sure LSU is the place to be headed right now.

Exactly. Auburn beat the hell out of LSU. They already have their Kevin Steele in Eddie O.

They have the #3 class right now, ahead of Clemson, UGA, and others

You’re right. They’ve got some possibly serious issues on deck but it’s not effecting recruiting any

MAR is in the portal.

247Sports Transfer Portal
@247SportsPortal
Auburn RB Mark-Antony Richards is in the portal. The redshirt sophomore ranked as the No. 90 overall recruit in the 2019 class. https://

Hate to see it, but I don't blame him at all. Outside of OL recruiting and QB development, Gus was horribly bad at the rb rotation. One of the things about Gus I will never understand.

I don’t blame him either. Makes losing Armoni worse though.

Our depth there has really cratered now

We heard players were butthurt about Gus getting fired and we’re probably going to see some guys leave

Well bye

They weren’t going to get their full potential under Gus anyway.

We should consider dropping to FCS and battle it out with JSU to see who will face NDS

That must be why Bryan Matthews created a thread just to say “I gotta admit...Auburn is a shitshow right now.”

I believe.... Young was supposed to be the guy waiting to commit to Auburn on a birthday coming up.
