I live in Thomas and Cox Sts for my four years there. I’m amazed every time I go back and see what has happened to that area.

This was looong overdue though. It’s amazing it stayed that way for so long. Back in my days there large portions of that area were complete dumps and prime real estate.

I have one within two miles of me and I only go there for one of the breakfast sandwiches every once in a while. The burgers are meh.

I can see it being a go to after a night of heavy drinking and you need something to make you feel worse than being hungover. Because that burger will definitely make you feel like heaving.

So is In-N-Out

In-N-Out is the most overrated and hyped food chain. I waited years to try it and finally had it the first time I went to Vegas. Was highly disappointed.

Culver's is tGOAT fast food burger hands down. I hope they expand to the south more.

ETA: Got curious so I went and viewed their locations and they have expanded into the south more than I knew. There's one in Auburn apparently. I haven't been in town in like 2 years so I'm not exactly up to date on the food offerings in town

Five Guys is better, but not sure if it is considered “fast food”.

They serve faster than most whataburgers so why not?

‘Fast food’ is a very misused word these days.

Ehh, its just a fast food burger. I think its pretty good. I believe their uniqueness is that its made to order and you can really specialize things. I have a friend from Brownsville, TX that has some sort of double toasted bun order with grilled onions and fresh japs that he's put me through on more than one occasion at Whataburger. I just purchased some Whataburger spicy Ketchup. Its a good condiment.

There’s a Culver’s in Auburn now?! Agree that it’s at the top with Freddy’s a close 2nd. I’ve only ever seen Culver’s in Kentucky and Tennessee. I’d single-handedly keep a Montgomery location afloat

Yeah, they must be expanding pretty rapidly in the south. There's close to 10 locations in Alabama alone now. I had no idea they were growing so much. 20 stores in GA and 85 (!) In FL.

I will say that Culver's would be very dangerous if they ever opened a store near me. Those burgers are big and are basically an edible heart attack. Along with their fries and frozen custard, I'd end up as wide as my truck in no time.

Who/why is the old Bodega site now a stinking Whataburger restaurant?!?!?

Fuuuuckk. Last I was there, it was some kind of shitty pizza place.

Auburn needs to step its game up.

The first few times I ate there it was my favorite. The last two handfuls, the burgers have been burnt every time. I stopped trying them.

Am South failed. It was a business supply place and now it’s a Guthrie’s
