I have made my share of criticisms but Georgia was the best defense we have played all season and for once Nix wasn’t the reason we lost Saturday. Thought he pereformed well for what we asked for him to do. Looking forward to see him mature over the next three years.

He turned the corner in the 4th quarter and FINALLY stopped flushing out of the pocket and started stepping up. When he did, he delivered the ball down field. He looked lost at times in the first half. He bails in the pocket too soon whether there is pressure or not.

Gus forced him to throw 50 times and he led us in rushing due to a nonexistent plan for our running game.

If we can get some competent offensive coaching at Auburn, I think Nix can be very good.

Wat.

Georgia’s late touchdown in the 1st half was because Nix fumbled the ball away.

Nix fumbled the snap and nearly lost the ball in the 4th.

He missed a wide open Joiner to keep a game-tying drive alive.

He looked great for a moment in the 4th, and I do appreciate his tougher play in the run game. However, it was same ole Nix for most of the game.

I believe Nix has the potential to be good, but Gus doesn't have the ability to get him in that position.

However, the loss IMO was squarely on his shoulders this week. I realize his failure is probably traced back to the Mickey Mouse coaching he gets every week, but in the end he didn't make the plays.

Sounds like JS8 last year.

A great QB doesn’t need a coach to tell him how to play. This isn’t a freakin video game. Nix has shown flashes but you can’t blame a coach who called the perfect 4 and 2 play and the guy whiffs.

Who knows how many other plays are wide open that are missed. Nix is still guessing. Once he figures it out....his accuracy still has to improve,

This idea that coaches make qbs is dumb, qbs make themselves

Edit: coaches do I have to recognize what qbs are capable of and design offense around it, Gus did that with Nick M but no run game is killing us

He's mentally strong and has the tools needed. Gus needs to go before he's wasted. He could very easily be AU's all time passing leader.

Nix did fumble the ball away but that last TD in the first half was on Gus. Georgia was going to run the clock and take it to half until Gus called the TO.

Other than the missed throw to Joiner at the end he played a good game and made some throws. Now I don't think it was quite as bad as tRant made it out to be, they love to overreact to the extreme, but it's still a throw you have to make at this level

THIS!!

Nix will be a great QB if Gus doesn't break him before then. But he's got to get more accurate on the run. The throw to Joiner should have been an easy 1st down.

Gus is 6-15 against our rivals. Bo fought his guts out. First true freshman QB to ever start a season for Auburn. Blame a 7 year coach.

BI was our leading rusher, first player to have a rushing TD against UGA.

Oline, SUCKED. Recruiting unbalanced.

Which is why he had less pressure and was able to perform better. But shhhhh. You're ruining their optimism.

Nix's flaws aren't going anywhere while he's enjoying the cushy legacy life. Papa Nix probably doesn't even critique him.

You really think the guy isn't going to try and improve?

That’s because he did a good job of taking the real estate that the defense freely gave away. If he can do that all game, the DT discussion will be irrelevant.

But man, the way the Ravens are using Gus’s 2013 offense gets me rock hard.

Dude just because you were passed over for a promotion in favor of someone who was the son of the CEO at your company doesn’t mean everyone with a legacy tag sucks.

By all accounts the Nix family is awesome and Bo has worked his arse off to get where he is. And if you think he is the issue with our offense, you are wrong.

I get what you are saying but it was a soft zone coverage

Have you watched the kid play at all this year? He has consistently bailed on the pocket whether there has been pressure or not. In the 4th quarter of the Georgia game, it was like someone flipped a switch. He stopped doing it. Go back and watch the game.

There's obviously things the kid could do better. He missed some plays for sure. However, this whole situation is the sole responsibility of the HC. Period.

I said at the beginning of the season that starting a tFR QB in the SECw was going make for a long season. The question is why are we having to start a tFR QB in year 7 of Gus? This is unacceptable.

We've had noticeable gaps in both OL and QB recruiting. The recruiting deficiencies in the last several cycles cost us a chance at the playoff this year. That's the true reason for this year's performance.

I'm not super high on Nix but I do think he is a solid QB. And I think you can absolutely win big with him as your starter.
