How bad is the defense historically?

Better than 2012?
At least we have Freddie Smith and Skutak under Barfield.
Nobody seems to have a nose for the football with this group.

Lack of DL recruiting really showing. Other than Faulk, no players up front.

2014 level. We give some major cushion on 3rd and 5

Small and weak. Need to beef up

I still don't understand why we don't teach our DB's to look back for the ball. We could have more than a handful of INT's if they would just turn and look. We teach our DB's to keep their eyes on the WR and then push them down. It's baffling.

Our secondary is bad. Safety being the worst. Number 0,1,and 19 gotta go.

Top 5 worst since 2000.

Number 1 must have been a Harsin holdover.

Believe he just transfered from Texas before this year. He's bad. Real bad.
What happened to top JUCO S Laquon Robinson? Hell, try him at Saferty.

Danny finished an Iron Bowl with a broken leg. Dude was nuts. Don't make many like him.

Our pass rush is leaving way too much to be desired

Everythjng just seems off. If we are going to rush 3, we need to play tighter on the back end. You ever an extra body, play tighter underneath since there should be enough back to not get beat deep.

The scheme sucks. If we would adjust and switch to a 4-2-5 we would be better
Faulk, Raikes, whoever, McLeod with Crawford spelling Faulk and McLeod.
Asante and Keys as the LBs.
Lee and Anthony,Tyler Scott and Jay Crawford should rotate.
Scott should play the slot.
S is whoever stops biting on the run fakes.
At least the DL and LBs would be solid.

We give up way to many first downs, we miss to many tackles.
But we don’t give up a lot of points… yet!
Our we are consistent at being inconsistent.

LOL. 19 points to that shite team is a frick ton of points
I honestly could not believe how soft we were against them. If we cant tighten up on those guys, I cant even imagine how bad we will be against good teams. Those damn rushing lanes were so big, my fat arse could have gone through them with my wheel chair

I don't understand. We were told right here on this board this week that the DB is and has been a strong point in recent years for Auburn. STILL can't cover my grandmother, though.

I think a lot of people underestimate UNM. They have a great offense and their QB is a baller. They were leading a top 25 Arizona team half way through the 2nd quarter and would have been tied except for a last minute interception lead to a FG.
