I am a broken shell of my former self and have written written a solid fifteen pages on my master's thesis in the past 36 or so hours

This shite sucks. A loss has never bothered me like this one. To see this incredible run come to an end is a punch in the gut.

The loss sucked and mostly felt bad for the team, but I am back doing life. I also don’t dwell on it or watch any of the game over and over.

I can’t change the outcome one bit so I am choosing to focus on the positive aspects of this memorable season.

This. Still a hell of a run.

Trophies. Banners. Retiring of Brown's jersey?

I'm over it. Won't watch tonight.

Yeah I would hope most AU fans wouldn’t watch tonight and I also hope it’s the most boring defensive national championship that gets the worst ratings in the history of the NCAA championship.

I am great today, I am past the mourning stage and remembering the good times. What a ride, truly magical.

*I remember beating UT to cost them the regular season title
*I remember beating UT to win the SEC Tournament Championship.(Only our second)
I remember the run through the bluebloods (Kansas, UNC and UK) to win a Regional Championship (We have our first NCAA Trophy in Basketball)
I remember participating in a final four and everyone knowing we had the talent to win it all. (Never, ever thought I would see that)
It was a magical season.

The only sad part of the season for me that I hated was Chuma's injury. I am praying for complete healing.

I’m not watching tonight. I just think it’s going to be a boring game. No protest or anything. Go Tech though.

It hurt worse the way it happened. Getting screwed that is. That’s college basketball, though. Would have been better to get blown if we had to lose. But, it’s only a game and life goes on. I’m over it.

I'm slowly recovering. If Pearl can keep building teams with 1/2 the chemistry/heart that this one has had for the past two years it'd be amazing. We had an AMAZING run this year, and if we had lost straight up by 5-10 I wouldn't be nearly as shaken as I am.

Will probably watch tonight. In a bracket pool where each person gets a team at the beginning. If the team covers the spread but loses then the person picks up the winning team. I had NMSU...... could win a lot of money if UVA wins.

Have to keep reminding myself that we shot the ball like shite all game, harper missed the back end of a 1 and 1 that would have sealed it and Virginia shot the ball lights out. That helps accept the defeat and deflects my mind from the fact we got hosed in the end

Seeing the overwhelming fan support for these players has somehow lessened the blow. In ‘13, our fans obviously supported the football team after the loss, but for some reason this just feels different. Maybe since there are fewer players and we get to know them better, the fans have a stronger connection with the basketball team. Maybe it’s because they have taken us to heights we never expected. Whatever the reason, it seems like our fans are celebrating this team as if they won it all.

I think this will motivate Pearl and his future squads.

Saturday Night I kept dreaming about the last 5 seconds.

Headaches..Better today.. Will be better once basketball season is over.

I'm kind of over it. If this were football I probably would still be down in the dumps. That it is basketball and we exceeded every previous accomplishment we have ever had I'm just grateful for how good the season was. We earned respect and hopefully it'll lead to more success in the coming years.

I know one thing is for certain, my Monday night is free for me to do anything I want to do other than watch the championship game. so maybe just a tiny bit bitter.

We went to the Final Four and should have won that. Hard to be too down.

I just think it’s a shame that there won’t be a national champion this year. Crazy.....

Honestly if Doughty doesnt get pressure that uva kid might make the shot. He had a hot hand and Doughty was having a solid game. Legit risk. That helps. Double dribble sucks.

I think I am getting over it and proud they got there.

Happy it was all based on Bruce and not a Gus type 1st year flash fire. I think we can make it back but I wont hold out hope because 2013 taught me not to.

You just have to enjoy this for what it was and back in February we would have been shocked to hear Auburn in the final 4.

been rocking the Dwight Yoakam acoustic album. Something about falling off bar stools and stumbling in the streets because of what could have been just speaks to me right now.
