I’ve heard different media guys say this morning that once this one and done rule is reversed then there will be more final fours filled with teams like this one this year. The caliber of players will all be fairly on a similar level and the coaches who keep guys 3-4 years and get the most out of them will thrive. I hope it happens, thankfully having BP as our coach will up the chances.

Over it by yesterday morning. I'll have the Braves game on tonight...watching the game would piss me off, and tbh, those two teams just don't interest me.

Meh. I was not happy when it happened but we were on house money. Hated it ended like it did but it was a close call and we had opportunities

Working like usual..... Finishing the Tax stuff today to take to the tax man tomorrow. Once he is done, I will need something to help me cope with that.

Have to keep reminding myself that we shot the ball like shite all game, harper missed the back end of a 1 and 1 that would have sealed it and Virginia shot the ball lights out.

We had our opportunities to win and we didn't capitalize. It never comes down to a single call. If we'd shot better from 3 and not let them block multiple shots inside, we would have never been in that situation.

I was over it about 10 minutes after the game was over. It sucks, but there's nothing we can do about it and it's not going to change, so you can either continue to bitch and moan, or you can go about your life and not let it make you miserable.

I know it sounds a little bit trite, but once I finally was able to let go and really embrace that I can't control any of that kind of stuff, I was able to get over losses much quicker than I used to be able to.

That doesn't mean it wasn't tough to swallow how it all went down, but I just won't allow something out of my control to have control over me anymore.

I've got a few perspective changers for anyone still struggling.

That's him. May he rest in peace but he and Barbee(he can suck start a shotgun) may be 2 of the worse coaches to ever walk an SEC sideline.

Yeah... that was a weird deal... he got fired then passed away pretty quickly after taking a job at a smaller school iirc.

Between like 2003 and last year, the only decent squad was that 2009 team that went 10-6 in the league... and lost to Baylor in the nit quarters.

He did it to himself. The team was talented and played well enough to deserve a shot but that schedule. Maybe 4 quad one wins and way too many games against teams with sub 200 rpi's.

Well, and just listen to Pearl and the team. Nothing else you can do. Move on, and you'll quickly get to a place where you can be happy about the huge step forward Auburn basketball took. It was still a really fun year and the best in the history of the program.

I am as proud of this bunch as any Auburn team, of any kind, in my lifetime. This was so much fun to watch............but the way it went down will sting for years to come.

Still stings. Figured I was over it this morning...saw a Texas Tech shirt in the airport and felt like we should’ve been the ones playing them.

And then had UGA and Mizzou alum coworkers separately say “sorry about the loss, man” as literally the first words they said to me today.

It hurt worse the way it happened. Getting screwed that is. That’s college basketball, though. Would have been better to get blown if we had to lose. But, it’s only a game and life goes on. I’m over it.

I am over it. Rarely watch BB at any level. Went to the NC State game. First live BB game since the 80's.
Followed this team through the SEC championship and NCAA tourney but watched most on tape delay because the commercial breaks are too much for my taste. The final 3 minutes of a BB game are painful for me. Generally have negative views of the sport but really enjoyed watching this team during the run. The final few minutes of our final 4 reinforced my negative views.

This game, from just monitoring the score looks a lot like the Auburn one.

Maybe the TT folks might want to cope with us after they come back and the refs have to help uva win it.
