OL is cheeks. I appreciate that they’re trying to move guys around to get the absolute best we can. But the number of false start penalties today was terrible. We already suck at that position, we don’t have the margin for error to self destruct like that.
Second thing is qb play. Brown is driving me absolutely nuts. He’ll have essentially one good play per quarter that makes me think he might just figure it out but I really don’t think he is SEC material. His biggest problem is decision making/indecisiveness. He just sits there going through reads and never lets the ball go on time. That’s a skill that can be learned but isn’t going to be fixed in a bye week unfortunately and at this point he shouldn’t be struggling with that. Tough news is, I don’t think Golesh is going to yank him because he’s loyal, which I appreciate to a degree. But it might just cost him his job in the long run.
Last thing is playcalling. Feels like there is no rhythm or cohesion on any drive. I think it’s in large part due to points 1 and 2 above killing drive momentum. However, some of the calls are just mind boggling. Fourth and short today and we run a cute pitch play. Also need more designed runs for BB because that’s really all he can do at the point. We saw more of it today.
Hope we can salvage the season with an upset or two, but I don’t know. We had a chance to get a building type win today and squandered it. Hope Golesh figures it out, I like his attitude and want him to succeed, but haven’t seen much change or improvement in 5 games which is not promising.

Why would Melendez go to UF-their defense is straight trash

A lot more money and play about a 1/3 less snaps.

He’s got his work cut out for him with roster rebuilding this offseason. We have only a handful of sec players on this roster
I think this is what so many are missing…or are too ignorant to understand it. He has done the best he can with what he has. Next year will be the test.

You recruit your own problems. He said it. He brought a bunch of G5 players. Give me a break.

Thank you wareaglepete.
We are spending 30 million for this disaster, whose fault is that.
And yes Bynum Brown should be benched. He cant process the field. I saw a perfect example last night. You can see the receiver will break open, Brown was rolling out, he took another step and a half before he finally threw it late across the middle, by then the window had opened, closed, and the safety had closed on the ball.
I saw poorly thrown long balls to open receivers.
The only reason his percentage completion looks decent is because its loaded with 2 yard swing passes.
Golesh mentor had the balls to bench his QB, unfortunately Golesh didnt, instead he coddled him and blames the rest of the team. I question if Golesh is even Russian, he coaches like he is a Frenchie

On the bright side, there is less risk of running out of weekend toilet paper in Auburn during football season and having to use tree leaves.

Different song, same dance we’ve been dealing with. Malzahn, Freeze..
Kiffin pulled his QB and found Chambliss. UTenn pulls their QB and won yesterday
The issue is these coaches get paid no matter the situation. If they were on a sliding scale pay system, maybe we would see a change in guard to attempt something different.

Yesterday was the first time I didn't watch (or well listen) to a single play of an Auburn-TN game since I was 8 in 1981. What is the point...it is just groundhog day for the most part since 2014. Went to Oktoberfest...was outside...had a great time and never checked the score. I did get a single group text that was simply "What the f*ck was that?" (I believe in reference to the 4th down) but it was enough to let me know how things were going, as expected.
I'm not sure what the odds are having 3 straight coaches come in that are all supposed to be offensive guys and they all absolutely tank in the same way.

Melendez will stay at AU as long as Durkin is here and he will be draft eligible after next season. Durkin also puts him in spots to make big plays same with Atkins. If you’re a linebacker you’d be an idiot to not want to play under Durk. Because he’s gonna make you look like a superstar.
Don’t fall for the extra $500 and risk your draft stock. Melendez will be rated high but definitely shouldn’t go through the combine. He will run slower then expected and shorter then what he plays. Just let your film speak for itself and be very prepared for the in person interviews. Could definitely land in the top 3 rounds.
X will be faced with the same stuff undersized LB that is great in pass coverage and pass rush. So don’t go through the combine unless it’s only to run the 40.
