If you assume both DSOR and the Iron Bowl were coin flips each year (which probably works out to about right over 30 years). You would expect to beat both 25% of the time. We are very slightly under at 7 of 30, results are about what you would expect

Not bad considering they have been anything but coin flips for about a decade now.

A lot of Georgia crybabies crying about the possible schedule change now. I’m sure their AD will receive heat if it goes through as well. Have to think it won’t happen now.

They want to make us go to UGA two seasons in a row which we are 100 % in favor of. Then @bama and @UGA would be in different years.

Then we go to the ACC. I would rather play the GA program that has won a title in my lifetime.

Play them next year in the Dome in ATL and give us a 25%-40% ticket allotment so we can still make some of the money Jones was saying we'd lose by skipping a home game. Then back to normal year after that.

Did UGA lose money when we played them two years in a row in Auburn?

I am all for playing them twice in a row in their house, even if we lose one year of ticket sales, if it will get us back to staggering the bama/UGA series. Honestly, every other year our home schedule kind of sucks.

and frick UGA!

On even years they have 3 SEC home games. In 2012 they had 3, 2013 they had 4 as usual. This is due to the neutral site game with Florida which gives up a home game every other year. They supplement that with their annual OOC game with Georgia Tech.

Did they lose money not having Auburn on campus in that span? Of course. But nowhere equal to Auburn giving up a SEC home game altogether. I’d guess that’s at least a $10 million dollar hit losing a SEC home game. And for a school that has fans that want to buyout a coach contract that guarantees 75% of the salary - we should not be willing to give that up

UGA AD just said he doesn’t foresee Auburn going back to back in Athens anytime soon.

For those pissed about losing tradition... tradition got fricked when we invited TAMU and Mizzou into the southeastern conference.

We haven’t played a game in Gainesville since I was in college... im in my 30s with three kids. It makes no sense.

We sacrificed tradition for the sake of money... it is what it is.
