Yes. If I didn't have the education I received at Auburn, I would not have had the career success and earnings that I do. I feel obligated to give something back.

No. I have too many other things to pay for now.

I have supported the fishing program in the past.

I now support the UGA Fishing program for this year.

You’re paying for services with tuition. How is that charitable at all?

Because the tuition that is paid is so inflated, it should be enough to pay for 100,5* players

Didnt go to Auburn but that price tag makes me want to go back to tech school.

The price tag is ridiculous. I have a 6 and 8 year old. They will be doing juco for a couple years and then they can decide what they want. I will not let them go into massive debt as an 18 year old that doesn’t give two shits about their career yet, much less know what they will do.

Yea I dont want to do that again. Neither of my boys went to a 4 year college and neither did my daughter when she was with us. I personally got my engineering degree at a tech school. I was fortunate and my father paid for it all.

My wife went to pharmacy school after we got married and we paid every cent of that. It was not cheap. She attended Mercer Pharmacy school which was one of two places in the state of Georgia that you could get a PharmD at the time. The other being UGA. Mercer was not cheap I promise you. We had a 20 year note on that one.

I could not imagine sending 2 or 3 kids to college of any kind these days.

I have two in college now. Luckily one is on a sports scholarship and the other is determined to pay for his own and has. We do put money into their bank accounts for things as we had college funds set aside for them thank goodness.

College costs are ridiculous though and they just keep going up. It happened when the government decided to guarantee every loan.

I got a letter asking for ONLY $1000. They were nice enough to even include a envelope and contribution card to send back

Im all about supporting the athletes but mailing folks asking for $1000 is insanity considering everything these athletes get already

I already do season tickets. Pay for tailgating. Devote Fall weekends to home games.

How about the school make the experience better for your average fan?

No, we're outside the top 50 in recruiting last I checked. We didn't make a bowl game, we just hired a Liberty staff plus some Auburn guys. Where is this money going? Paying the bums we have on the team now? No thanks. We start winning and compiling some 5*s then hell yeah sign me up

OTV has plans that offer you immediate returns in the form of player meetings, window decal, discounts on merchandise, autographs, etc.

I'm pretty shocked most here are not even willing to donate 34 a month given we are ALL generally obsessed with seeing Auburn doing well. Sure the 34 dollar package doesnt offer the rewards of the most expensive donation deals. We have a bunch of free-riders on this board if you ask me.

And for the record I dont think someone buying season tickets is free-riding, but those season tickets helps the Auburn athletic program. The NIL is entirely a different animal that fall into completely different budgets though. :(

Anyone that does not support Auburn financially should STFU.

Judging by our insane coaches contracts we hand out, it seems our boosters have plenty of money to contribute to this fund.

I love Auburn but there’s a point up to which I care to contribute resources to Auburn. Auburn is my alma mater, met my wife there, and I’ve loved every minute of my fandom but NIL just ain’t happening for me. It’s my favorite team but in the end SEC sports is a passing amusement for the most part not unlike me being a fan of the Atlanta Braves. If college football goes to hell in a hand basket (which I believe we’re headed to) then so be it. Auburn gets enough of my money through academics, tickets, and merch. I’d love to see AU win a natty or an SECCG like the next guy but if they don’t, it’ll still be a passing amusement and life will go on.

I don't necessarily disagree. I was just laughing at the flat price of $1000. I don't recall the letter even mentioning lower tiers.

I'm not totally against it. I think most want to see results or at least a trend in the right direction first

It didn’t make you less of a fan when NIL wasn’t a thing so it shouldn’t now.

People forget not everyone is in a place to donate monthly or even one time. I donate but I wouldn’t hold anything against others who don’t want to or can’t.

My wife and I do fine financially. That's not the issue. I am not donating money based on principle. I don't agree with NIL. I'm not paying money to a player to go to Auburn. I think NIL is wrong, and won't involve myself.

I had two in Auburn last year. One graduated on time, debt-free and is gainfully employed. Just have a sophmore at AU (will be debt-free) and a freshman in private school.

All you guys with young kids, start a 529 plan yesterday. Encourage grandparents to make donations for Bdays or Christmas. It has helped me get these kids thru school debt free.
