I like the Prime idea, but I also like the Klieman idea. He built a powerhouse at North Dakota State. Blue collar, physical, intimidating teams.

Aranda or Stoops. We can’t continue to experiment.

I frickin knew it. I bet your arse I would out recruit Harsin. My staff would out recruit his. Hell I know more of the head coaches in the state already then he does.

That’s sad.

Hate to say it but I think it’s gonna be Freeze.

Are we on the he needs more time to implement his system and culture and get his players in mode?

I’ve watched Auburn football for 40 years. I was 10 when I really started watching and this is worst coaching staff ever in my lifetime and it isn’t even remotely close. I have never called for the firing of a football coach not even late stage Tubs or even Tot. But I am calling for Harsin to be gone after he takes this arse beating at UGA he needs that on his resume.

Im trying hard to stay on team Harsin. Not because I like him or think he's doing a good job. Solely because he is the HC and i don't know a way to separate rooting for him and the team. Yesterday pushed me to the breaking point and it wasn't the horrendous performance that did it. It was the apathy on his face when Mizzou won the game twice and then when we finally won by default. No fire. No nothing. He's just seemingly there dreaming about Mexican beaches and protein shakes. A part of me wants him fired but i think that's letting him off the hook. Id wait until at least after the OM game to give an interim time to do something during the off week and so Harsin has to sit and take the reamings that are coming alongside the rest of us the next 3 weeks.

Im a hard no on Deion. I acknowledge that that take may age extremely poorly but we're too close to long term irrelevance to take a chance. Get everyone on the same page and go hire Lane. OM is not a destination job so don't take no for an answer. Give him the budget to build a staff that can compete and get the frick out of his way. It's going to be expensive but if it matters to the people who can write those checks then there's no reason it can't happen. Unfortunately i don't think that's what will happen. I've got a feeling we're going the discount route with Freeze and buying a big rug to try to sweep up the consequences of dealing with that personality type.

Hiring the right coach and staff up may cost a lot up front but having a winning brand out there would probably pay for itself 5x. They need to hire someone with the ability to recruit, and develop players. Get a staff that can assess talent and develop. Someone who will fill the needs of the team and not let the roster become depleted. I dont know who that would be but i don’t believe kiffin or freeze fit that bill. They are good coaches but have a shady personal life. Auburn isnt going to allow crap like that so why waste the money on them. Aranda and Stoops seem to fit the mold really well.

I wonder why this is just now getting attention if it happened last week? Seems weird. Also how can they confirm Coach Prime was on board?

I’d get behind him and think it could definitely work out. I mean, it certainly wouldn’t be worse than Harsin. His level of energy is similar to Bruce’s and it would certainly give auburn a unique angle on a lot of recruits. I think it’s still a gamble and I’d prefer someone like Aranda or Kiffin if I had my choice, but if we get rid of Harsin for Prime I definitely won’t be disappointed.

Does anyone know what the staff buyouts will cost in additional to Harsin?

Freeze fits the billing of being tight with the boosters. Lane and Prime do not, whatsoever.

The issue will be the politically correct faction of the boosters approving the hire of Freeze. He proved he can recruit top 5 classes at Ole Miss and he probably would at Auburn. But do our boosters want to win bad enough that they’ll overlook his past issues?

We’ll see.

I'm with you on Deion, but I have no idea why people are so confident in Lane.
