Now that Sean is QB, it is obvious that to be successful, Gus is going to throw a lot.

This will only work if we have play makers on offense.

I think Jason Smith is breakout WR for short routes and Kyle/Nate for the deep ball

I agree about Smith. Was watching clips from Arkansas game last year and Smith was steady.

it's obvious that what he needs to do. it isnt so obvious to me that its what he will do. my $ is on Gus going all square peg round hole.

Can Jalen Harris catch worth a damn? I think TE is going to be a factor this year. Sean isnt exactly a wunderkind at the deep ball as far as I can recall.

I think NCM becomes the star at WR.

Jason Smith will make some big plays as well and Marcus Davis is a good leader. Add to that Harris and Rice at TE, and two guys who showed last year they can make catches out of the backfield in Kerryon Johnson and Chandler Cox. I'm hoping to see a big improvement in pass catching.

If we don't run that unstoppable Eric Smith/Lutz wheel route 3 times a game, I'll go postal.

I hope some of the younger guys step up. Kyle Davis, Eli Stove, Nate Craig-Myers, Darius Slayton, etc.

Tony Stevens, I don't have much faith in. Marcus Davis, hard worker but a guy with a limited ceiling in terms of actual ability. Jason Smith, made plays last year and he will likely be a big play type guy. Ryan Davis, not sure what we have with him. Stanton Truitt, needs to stay healthy.

Kyle Davis, Eli Stove, Nate Craig-Myers & Marcus Davis should be our starting WRs imo.

Unfortunately, Gus values experience on offense so we can fully expect Marcus Davis, Tony Stephens, Ryan Davis and Jason Smith to be our starters.

He's said plenty of times the freshman should be able to play this year a lot. Hell didn't kyle just start practicing? Why would he start vs clemson?

And why would Smith not start?

I expect to see Craig-Meyers do something to earn his stars and he could go gonzo. Jason Smith will be that solid short yardage guy and he will break out along the way and make them respect him.

I think the keys to this year being special will be 2 freshmen in NCM at WR and Miller at RB. They have the opportunity and they look like they have that talent level.

It's a fair point but didn't he practice this spring? Obviously not as much preparation as we would like for a true freshman but spring ball combined with one or two weeks of fall practice could possibly be enough.

I don't believe so. I thought he was out spring as well.

I think it will be Slayton as the big break out. Then Smith, followed by Eli Stove. Have y'all seen those 1 handed catches he has brought in? Man alive

He could in high school. Definitely more of a receiving TE than blocking, from what I saw.
