Is horrendous. The balls he throws are consistently behind, low, or over the heads of receivers in the case of deep passes. That "completion" to Schwartz was literally in the dirt.

To CorchJay: as of right now, this kid wouldn't even play in the CFL, let alone get drafted into the NFL LMAO.

That's what happens when you throw off your back foot and play sandlot football

There's a poster on here who thinks that he's "easily" more talented than Stidham, and an NFL talent.

And a high percentage of his completions haven't been great throws either. Just seems like receivers are always having to reach for poorly thrown footballs.

Yes. The dude is an idiot. He also thinks that Garner is a good coach. That tells you all you need to know about him.

Yup, even if its a completion its rarely a "perfect" throw. Tons of completions thrown behind the receiver. He's just effectively off on most throws, which brings up the game winning "perfect" throw to Canella against Oregon last season: that ball was high and off, but ended up being in the perfect spot for the receiver to make a great play. At the time that looked like a great throw, but really, now that we've seen him throw the ball extensively...that looks like a wild pass that just happened to result in a great catch LOL.

his footwork is abysmal. That's shocking considering his Dad was a QB. His decision making is sorely lacking and he panics as much as Stidham did. Bo is just more athletic.

What is the vibe over at your home (AU family)? They banning people for wanting Gus fired?

Why do we not run the option with him? He’s obviously not comfortable standing in the pocket. So stop trying to make him a pocket QB. He’s fast, pretty shifty, and big enough.

Most of the people over there are completely over Gus as well.

I agree.

I wish he could survey the field and throw for 300 yards a game like:

Stidham
White
Willis
Johnson

You know, all those other QB’s who have improved under Gus.

You’ll see. Just got to set his feet and all the ailments are gone. He either nuts up and the coaches stop allowing the sandlot football with him or they don’t. He’s much more talented then Stidham. Bo is generally not a turnover machine like he was today. That’s an outlier in my opinion but I understand the frustration.

Just stand in the pocket run when you have to not when you think you need to. Sure you might get sacked 3-4 times a game. Big deal so does everyone else.

I’ll repeat if he stays in the pocket every thing gets much better accuracy, completion percentage, ball protection.

But he has to be told it’s an issue. Not be ok with it continue to happen as it appears the coaches have allowed.

WRs were getting open today. This is all on Bo and trying to do to much.

Nix’s accuracy is worse than I thought it would be while he was still in high school. Don’t know why I thought he was going to be closer to a real QB.

Nix’s pass to Schwartz was alarmingly bad. Most decent QBs are going to let the receiver catch and run out of bounds in that situation.

But, he’s just not comfortable doing that and he’s been doing it for two seasons now. I don’t understand why we try to force him to stand in there rather than running an option offense. It feels like a square peg round hole.

Brannigan I don’t think any prediction you’ve ever made is correct and your assessment of football is just plain wrong. So if you think you are right and I’m an idiot then I feel damn good about my stance.

The coaches have allowed it because he’s extended some plays before. Like the TD to Seth against UK. Now is time to correct the footwork. I’m sure he looks like a complete stud in practice when he standsin there or isn’t going to get hit.

Biggest issue I have was lack of balance when Bo had it rolling early. Went way to pass happy. Bo was under control but once the game gets turned over to him he starts trying to do way to much. The catch by Seth is typical Bo. Falling back heave and Seth just comes down with it.
