Why, months after this has started, are they requiring this? I maybe could have at least understood it say two months ago, but now?
News flash: you can not stop the spread of a virus where you can’t identify the carriers and there is no natural immunity. Fact.
If you are under 50, white, in good health with no underlying conditions, and not obese, there is almost ZERO concern for your health in this pandemic. Quarantine the sick. Isolate the high risk, but stop crushing the rest of our civil liberties. frick.

That's not true. Even with the qualifying "almost" statement.
I do agree the mask thing is marginally effective, but that has more to do with people's inability to correctly wear them. If every single American wore a cloth mask while in public correctly it would be effective, but wearing them correctly isn't happening. Hospitals struggle to get their medical staffs to wear them properly.

Yes. We've been "unofficially" open for a while now. Customers are slowly trickling back in and sales are slowly increasing daily. We don't know exactly what the toll of this will be on the business. We will survive it for sure, but we aren't sure of the impact yet. The crash of '08 hurt. The April tornadoes effectively closed us for months. The 2020 fake pandemic? Dunno yet.
Sat down and called our furloughed employees last night. Since the shuttering is officially over, we can bring them back. However, most of our employees are older and really don't "need" a job to begin with. Why would they come back especially when the state/feds are paying them more than I can while they sit at home? We might be having to rehire a totally new work force which will require even more of my wife's time. She's been working almost by herself now 6 days a week since this shite started.
This whole ordeal has been a fricking CLOWNSHOW. From the POTUS right down to the county health officer, from R to D, this has been totally mismanaged. I'll stop short of saying that we were lied to from the beginning, but all the information we were given as justifications has been adjusted, and adjusted, and adjusted. None of what they said would happen came to pass. None of it.
So, if all you bootlickers would like to forcibly wear a mask, go right ahead. I'll never wear one unless it's MY decision to do so.

Yep. The only people I think truly lied to us were the media. They sensationalized this to absurd levels.
I think medical experts were truly just caught off guard and their hubris didn’t allow them to admit they were just wrong with their early predictions, and have been trying to save face, and funding, ever since.
The fact we are still taking a all or nothing approach to all of this, instead of looking at individual states rationally, is beyond stupid. This isn’t anything serious in Alabama. There is no reason that Alabama needs to be on the same plan as New York.
