Sorry, I'm heterosexual. I have no problem with those of you who are gay though. Good luck with your search. I hope you find love.

Or it could be, sarcasm or not, people are just sick and tired of having everything be thrown down their throats because "it's racist" even when it's not. Most people get tired of that shite man...

Maybe we conflate race with poverty too often?

As an example, to take crime statistics and suggest Black Americans are somehow predisposed to crime is a racist idea. However, to suggest crime is concentrated in lower socioeconomic areas is not. That door swings both ways though. To suggest all criminal behavior by the police is motivated by racism is not necessarily true as, we have cultivated a system in which the poor are treated much more harshly by the police than those who are affluent.
I believe this professor is exactly who most believe he is. I believe his method is counterproductive. He is attempting to provoke thought but, he is doing more to provoke anger. He is challenging ideas that are very long held by people very invested in them.

Still, this does not mean he is totally wrong or, totally correct.

Ultimately, I think the real debate lies in a "might makes right world" versus a "right makes might" world. Can economic might be as violent as pure brute force?

Ultimately, democracy, freedom, capitalism can only thrive in one environment.

If you believe the answers are simple, you are at best naive, at worst a useful idiot. If you believe skin color has anything to do with statistics, you are a racist.

Society is led from the top, not the bottom. Blaming the powerless is simply the cover some of the powerful have contrived in order to manipulate those too lazy, or unable, to think.

"So many downvotes. lol I had no idea there were so many liberals in the Auburn fan base. This is fricking stupid as hell and anyone that defends this shite is an idiot."

"I find it hard to believe that Auburn fans, home of the Mises Institute (Libertarian think tank), are for the authoritarian crackdown that Alabama has implemented."

LOL! Von Mises was a clown. Almost all economic thought has some value since, there are no perfect systems and, we live in a very dynamic world. Von Mises believed to his dying day that he was the only one who knew how to run an economy.

" I know that my stance isn't the most popular, but I don't care. If I have to step over dead bodies to get to the beach or the grocery store, I don't care. No forcible curtailing of my civil liberties is worth it. NONE."

If human life means so little and liberty means so much, maybe it is time for you to pick up a weapon. You are pretty quick to compromise the lives of others in the name of "liberty". How about your own?

The original question was the economy or, human lives. When the inhumanity and hypocrisy were criticized, the narrative becomes, "civil liberties". Civil liberties? You have the right to endanger your fellow man? IMHO, neither is genuine. The real balancing is human lives versus the tenuous nature of the credit markets. A developed, truly healthy capitalistic economy would/should be much more resilient. An economy that has become so dependent upon credit cannot afford the potential mass defaults. Fundamental economics is dead. On the macro scale, it is all about capital and finance.

"I’m not mad at all. Just because you disagree with me doesn’t make my IQ low or me dumb in any way. Seems you can’t take a differing opinion other then your own which makes you appear to be a little childish. We were discussing the shelter in place order which is a government order and what is politics? So we were all discussing politics. So take your bitchy little remarks wherever about me because you don’t know me and I don’t really care what you think of my opinions. So stay in your your safe space and I’ll stay doing my thing and we will both be happy. Good luck to you. But drop the personal attacks!!!"

Theys mad cause your write. This hear things just a nother libral hokes. Role Tide an MAGA

Because we have a very good team?

Questions (no math required):

1. Have we found the other serviceable player we will need later when Okoro comes back?

2. Is RPI meaningless in basketball rankings/seedings?

Amazing how we won a title with so many disappointing players.

The problem is not the backs, not the OL linemen. The problem is a blocking scheme that has not changed. There are only a few NFL linemen who can make the trap blocks we are asking our linemen to make. Consequently, our "power" run game doesn't consistently get runners out of the backfield. Forget getting to the second level. The read option is still viable but, you can no longer count on disciplined defenses running themselves out of position.

re: Rumor Steele gone if Gus stays

Posted by scleeb on 11/21/19 at 9:23 am
Would you accept Steele as HC IF, he had Joe Brady as OC?
I wish Steele would explain to Gus, how a good defensive coordinator with decent talent will stop Gus's offense. All of the pulls and traps are meaningless (if not detrimental) when the defenders maintain gap integrity. And,without a running game, our passing attack is just too predictable and inconsistent. Against better teams, we aren't fooling anyone, anymore. Sometimes you just have to straight up block the guy in front of you. Keep the motion, get rid of some unnecessary, unproductive line pulls and traps.

re: OFFICIAL 2020 Head Coach Search thread

Steele and Brady as co-head coaches and coordinators.

re: Auburn should hire Chad Morris as OC.

Posted by scleeb on 11/10/19 at 8:19 am
Rather hire Joe Brady as our head coach, leave defensive staff in place.

"and we'd repeatedly tackle them in space."

"our guys tackle. It's a great feeling."

"When the non-contending years are 7-6 and 8-5 type years, yes."

If you win more than 8, you are most likely contending.
