TJ Finely can’t run or throw. If DD could just run the option, that’d be better than what we have now.

Not really a shite take to expect a WR to know he is near the sideline and catch the ball with extended arms and not right over his shoulder

While running full speed? A toe drag catch is an exceptional play. It’s not an expected play.

Harsin’s time-out awareness is… bad.

Did anyone realize that’s his 7th sack this year? He’s quietly had a really solid year

Why the DD calls constantly? Jesus do you trust the coach or not.

I wouldn't say quietly but he has had a decent year. But yeah solid none the less.

Toe drag wasn’t even necessary. This isn’t difficult to understand. Instead of running right under the ball he trails it a little and catches arms extended. That’s a catch HS players should make… well at least decent ones.

I think people just want to see what he can do? I mean folks were talking about playing the youngsters and not caring about winning the game but getting some playing time. Go back and look...

Yea I have no problem with the TO there. I mean we probably won’t score bc we have TJ, but it wasn’t a bad TO

I think we'll see DD in the second half.

I just recall the press conferences after scrimmages where Harsin seemed so pleasantly suprised by DD's moxy and gamesmanship. Some players just have that intangible in their quiver.

Or it could have been a head coach that knew he had a garbage QB room behind Nix and wanted to keep DD on the roster. I hope we'll find out.

Has nothing to do with the coach. We know Finley does not look like the answer so maybe we just want to see something else? It’s a bowl game

Think it was an aggregation of all projections. Seen him projected as high as 3rd.

They said he’s got the size and physicality of Sherwood but is more athletic and can cover more ground.

Most of those sites they are "aggregating" are random draft sites. He gets attention on those sites by being a 3-4 year SEC starter who gets a lot of press, so he's easy to plug into the ~4th round on name alone.

The difference between him and Sherwood is that Sherwood was 216 pounds whereas Smoke is listed at 199 pounds on the roster. The size isn't even close. Hence Sherwood could project to a hybrid LB role in the NFL, whereas Smoke is a skinny Safety who is horrible in coverage. Sherwood is also 10x better as a tackler, hence why an NFL team is willing to try him at LB. Smoke is a guy who likes to launch at vulnerable ball carriers and deliver "big hits", but if you actually watch him try to tackle a guy straight up, it's incredibly hit or miss.

Their QB was limping, the TO allowed him time to recover.

That being said, I didn’t realize Holgerson was gonna go conservative.
