can’t have its own thread instead of cluttering up the recruiting thread.
If would like me to sum up the actual recruiting news for you, we backed off the one player we had visit and he committed to Ole Miss. There is no other news.
The portal has been closed, so until grad transfers hit or people back out of the draft not sure what big names could actually be available (which is a bit concerning for depth for center). Pretty much every big name is gone.
I'm sure Smuphy will continue with his usual top notch and appreciated reporting when there is news to share. But until then there is nothing to discuss really.

You can have all things basketball but I'll go to war over my Bo loyalty.

Yall were loyal.
But only one created a thread requesting the honorable Ross to ban me because I was embarrassed of so many fools.

I wasn't running from the fight, I was in the trenches battling for my prince

So are the odds of pettiford returning pretty much slim to none now?

He's looking to see who's drafting in the 20-30 range and if they're in the market for a smaller scoring PG. Trying to get a guaranteed contract.
If not, he's coming back.

Essentially the combine and game play is this weekend. He will find out quickly how he stacks up.

Johni didn't announce his return until right at the May 28 cutoff for withdrawal. He went through the entire process, then made an announcement on Xwitter. I think he may have made the official announcement even after the 28th deadline.

Another possibility I've seen mentioned. He's not a traditional center but he can play inside

That does look like an interesting possibility for PF. Good metrics anyway, and would give us at least one other true PF on the roster that isn't a true freshman, which would be nice.

Would be really nice to see the quarters change, particularly for SEC play. Nothing worse than having one or both teams in the bonus with 12-13 minutes left in the half. Could speed up the game a bit at least.

Looks like mens college basketball may finally be going to quarters
I hope, oh how I hope. Men's college basketball is is the only version of the game on the planet that doesn't have quarters.

So four two-minute timeouts instead of two?

Pettiford measured in at 6'0 1/4th" barefoot. Actually taller than I would have guessed without shoes. 6'6" wingspan and 8'0" standing reach. Those numbers are good for him as well.
I've seen mocks released in the last week ranging from 21 to 41. Consensus probably in the low 30's.

Damn, I was selfishly hoping he’s still be under 6’0ft tall

42 inch vertical today. Starting to think we may be looking for a PG.

I hope it doesn’t come to it, but at that point you just give PJ Haggerty a blank check

Boogie Fland has withdrawn his name from the draft.
