Did Meechie redshirt one year or something? He would have gotten a "covid year" due to 20'-21' but where is he getting a 6th year?

Only appeared in 10 games this year and there’s a “mental health hardship” waiver he’s eligible for.

Gwath was slated to Kentucky or SDSU, he went back to SDSU.
Auburn doesn’t even seem to be looking at the other Bashir brother.

I guess this is somewhat recruiting related, so will put it here. Particularly if we win the Natty, but even if not, it would be awesome if Nike did some huge ad campaign rolling out our new deal by promoting the Bball team. That would be some serious *free* publicity for recruiting. Throw in Barkley and Bo, could be a lotta buzz around AU this summer.

Yea, this stuff changes pretty quickly. We moved off of Gwath. I was just saying we were interested there.
My basketball info is as solid as it gets when I get it. It just changes so fast.
We talked a good bit with Gwath, but he wanted more money than we felt he was worth.
+ flory portaling changes how Auburn views the posistion, we couldn't afford to take two non polished players at the 5.

I think a high school kid would enjoy the thought of being on a massive Nike Ad campaign even if they didnt get paid for it (which they likely still would). That would only increase the players own imaging/brand, but wouldnt come out of AU's direct pocket.
