I saw Emmitt Smith play a whole football game with a separated shoulder.

It's not his left shoulder, he should be ok.

Seems evident to me he doesn’t need more time to recover

Holding tight to #2. Picked up a few more 1st place votes. No worries, team is good and Bruce is keeping them hungry.

Miami Coach retires

quote:

“I’m exhausted,” Larrañaga said. “I’ve tried every which way to keep this going. And I know I’m going to be asked a lot of questions and I want to answer them before I’m even asked. What shocked me, beyond belief, was after we made it to the Final Four just 18 months ago, the first time I met with the players, eight of them decided they were going to put their name in the [transfer] portal and leave.”

Larrañaga said he talked with the players, who all said they loved it in Miami … but they had better offers elsewhere.

His transfers bought by money that beat Jabari and Walker were just fine though.

Preseason teams 11 and 12 are the current 1 and 2 and we're closing the gap every week.

Like the spot.

Our friend Jon Rothstein says if we secure the number one seed in the south we will play Sweet 16 and Elite 8 in Atlanta.

I guess our first milestone is securing that 1 seed.

Yep that would be awesome but will be tough to hold off Duke considering the SEC competition this yr. It will be a battle to get that 1 seed.

This is what I've been saying when everyone is cheering for UT so we stay hungry or whatever and saying a loss wouldn't hurt that much etc... Maybe being ranked #1 right now isn't a huge deal but getting the number 1 overall seed would be massive.

Hold onto that thought.

This team needs the focal point. Aim thin to win it's how snipers do it.

Just win. 1 game at a time. We haven’t even started playing conference play yet. We can look for number 1 overall seed talk in March.

Love the dialogue but a bit premature in my opinion. Very tough schedule to go.
