Tulane has some NFL talent on defense and their offense is well executed. Auburn isn’t on upset watch here but this probably won’t be a tune up game, either. I think Auburn rotates a lot more on defense and gives up some scores in the process
I actually don’t mind this. Continue to get Nix prepared to go up against the tougher teams we’ll face later in the season.

Multiple ppl from Gus on down have reported on their SEC qb multiple NFLs on their dline and them being one of the most experienced teams. I think we struggle offensively (gus) but hold them in check on defense.

I agree that Tulane is a solid G5 school. They have a former SEC QB who will want to make a statement in this game and is a bowl caliber team that would probably give a few teams at the bottom of the SEC a run for their money. I think they are good balance for an out of conference game that we should win, but should also keep the team focused.
I think that it being a night game at home and all the momentum gained at the end of the Oregon game should hopefully have us amped up for this game. I also, hope that Gus learned some things about the team last week, and gets the running game going early. Rewatching the Oregon game, I was actually more impressed with the offense than I expected to be. Turnover in the red zone, missed field goal after getting near the red zone, not punching it from the 3 yard line. We easily could have have another 10 points in the first half.
This game should actually tell us a lot about where this team is trending and a commanding win against Tulane could bode will for the projection of this team.

Hoping we don't have a letdown.

I predict a frustrating game to watch.

Feels a lot like Purdue game based on talent and depth. We are supposed to win so no mercy for us if it’s a close game. If we win big, we were still supposed to win so no big deal. Nevermind the way they are playing.

I feel like we are going to focus on the OL and running the ball. 34-10 good guys.

This is correct. We will be full on melting in the first half when we try to pound it into a brick wall and the score is 7-6 Tulane. Then we wear them out in the second half.

My thoughts exactly. If we can get the run game going, it will be ugly for them. We will just wear them down. If our OL can't open holes, it could be a lot closer than we hope.
If things are going our way, I think a lot of D guys see the field. Tulane may score some late points making the game appear closer than it actually was.
I am Auburn. These games scare the shite out of me.

Herbstreit warned against our stadium being sleepy during tonight’s game.
Never thought I’d hear that over a 6:30 kickoff.
