There’s no doubt that wasn’t on Cohen. That was the people paying the bills asserting themselves lol.

I call BS it might be the money people trying to push things but Cohen hired him. He could have stood up and said these 3 are better coaches but he didn't. So it is on him. It it isn't on him he is being paid way to much to be a yes man...

Listen to the first 3 minutes of this. The stats are appalling...7 out of 11 drives 4 plays or less...

It’s pretty well known who among our more “well heeled” boosters liked Freeze lol.

or, more likely, when he was being interviewed he was told that Freezus was gonna be the next HC, and if he wanted the AD job he had to be okay with it

that said, i dont know how good he is at his job, but the way the coaching search was handled was suboptimal (even though i’m more than pleased with the end result)

Auburn’s inability to build a consistently decent offensive line, through multiple coaching staffs, is really extraordinary.

I keep telling myself that these ‘offensive genius’ coaches we keep hiring will see the problem and fix it. It’s truly impressive how they keep fricking this up. The OL/DL are literally the foundation of the fricking game and we’ve completely ignored both for almost a decade now.

Once again, Golesh tried getting the 3 Olinemen that Kentucky outbid us for. It’s not that he didn’t identify the right talent. It’s that our NIL isn’t where it needs to be.

From what I read, it isn't the available money, they just allocated poorly. Spent too much on QB and other areas and didn't put enough to OL. We cpuld have kept Daniel's and beefed up the line, but he has a man crush on Brown. Sumerall had the better approach and told his Tulane players thanks and good luck.

How in the hell does Bama always get Pick 6’s? Their DBs always jump the route without Wiffing

Unlike Auburn’s DBs, they’re not taught to immediately bail at the snap of the ball. Our lovely DC believes in giving the opposing WRs a nice 12 yard cushion to ensure an easy catch for them.

I honestly think if we had kept Ashton, we would have beat UTenn and UF

He’s playing a lot better than our “record breaking QB”

He was a known product at this level and we would have had UKs OL.

Yea, hindsight is pretty clear on that one. I completely understand a coach wanting to bring his QB in that has run his offense for 3 years. Generally, that’s going to happen 10 times out of 10 when you hire a new coach.

When you have a 5* and a super senior on the roster, you shouod evaluate better.

BS dude...do some research AU 33 Mil UK 24.5 Mil at least that is about the consensus that I have found. We paid for freaking comfort to the system. Go sort by Oline and see the difference. We just didn't want to pay and have comfort with the system. Then sort by DL. BB-3M. They overpaid for the production. Now compare that with the Production that UCLA is getting for their NIL dollar. Coaching and he brought 10 from JMU. but got 41 total portal transfers.

I think they are a little overestimating on Auburn’s side (which may mean Kentucky too, don’t know). I’ve heard we are probably more in the $28M number and there are other estimating sites that are in that ballpark too. We are still spending more than Kentucky either way you slice it, but they did outbid us for some OL specifically this past class

The NIl standard actually has us below UCLA at $26.5M.

Our performance to spend is definitely one of the worst out there, no doubt. Our roi is pathetic.
