The NIl standard actually has us below UCLA at $26.5M.

If that site is right it makes us look even worse. Spending over a mil for guys like Strand, Ramil, and Murray is terrible. As is spending that much on Womack. Just plain dumb NIL usage for guys that did barely anything in 2025.

I mean they are all just estimates on what they believe players are worth or what they were going for on the market. They don’t really have much info on specific contract totals unless someone willingly gives it up.

AU 33 Mil UK 24.5 Mil

It literally says that is not what the schools paid, but what the value of the roster would be on the market.

I think they are a little overestimating on Auburn’s side (which may mean Kentucky too, don’t know).

I have heard reports that we are over 30 but let's say your site is correct. We are still outspending UK and 100k difference with UCLA...so what are we really getting? Culture change? comfort for the coaching staff? Wouldn't we have gotten that by getting those other two coaches?

Let's face it we are way overpaying for what we are getting on some of these players.

The ON3 guys are saying we paid around mid 30s & LSU was up by 10 more mil. Just said it tonight on their show. So that site that I pointed out is close to what I have seen. Even if we use the other site listed which has it in high 20's. The question remains the same....ARE GETTING THE VALUE that these other coaches are getting? If not then Cohen needs to go...

Not arguing that we aren’t getting much worse return on our investment, clearly we are. More that there is a big difference between us spending $10M more than someone and $2M.

Our spend is somewhere in the 10-12 range in the SEC and around 20-25 in the country. Our results are unfortunately about right when it comes to the SEC, but we are definitely not a top 25 team. Kentucky and Mizzou are definitely overachieving on their spend this season.

Nix had a great game last night and outplayed the greatest QB in the world in a playoff game last January. It was very strange to me how much criticism he has been getting this year fresh off two surgeries

I would take Nix over any of the young talent in the game including black finger nails in Chicago

Nix is the ultimate lesson on just how important the O-line is.

Brown missed a wide open Singleton on the 1st down play.

Saw this on the first play. Glad somebody on Twitter snapped it as well. This is the stuff that continues to baffle me (and has been an issue through multiple regimes). Why do AU quarterbacks never see this stuff? This is what frustrates me to no end. We call good plays, there are open people, and we basically get sacks and similar bad plays because QB execution is abysmal.

He also didn’t see a wide open receiver crossing the middle when he threw the non call PI pass.

Would have been a TD or atleast first down

I'd be interested in some opinions here.

Slow it down on video. I don't want Brown to make that throw to 11.
11 is behind him the whole way. If he tries to make the throw he probably side arms into traffic or makes an over throw on a difficult throw for an interception.

I think this could have been a deep shot and it wasn't there and Brown pulls it down. Playing it safe.

If you want BB to make the throw to 11 then you have to also say that 11 was slow. He shouldn't have been so far behind Brown. Also right after the still shot of AU 11 being "wide open", 11 for LSU has him covered.

Yup. The phrase armchair QB exists for this reason

Wholeheartedly disagree. Brown continues to drift to the sideline without a reason to. He has plenty of time to stop and set his feet and deliver the throw. That is a remarkably simple throw to make for a D1 qb. Brown is making it harder than it has to be. It is a checkdown throw for a reason. Even if the original call was a shot play, there are two dump off passes available if it isn't there. Cobb is covered, as is the sideline for a run. Slow down, set the feet, and hit Singleton over the middle. And we are talking about 3ish yards behind Brown at that shot. The throw wouldn’t be behind him as Singleton is moving and if he quit drifting, it wouldn’t be behind him at all. There are times the QB keeps rolling outside when they don’t need to and it takes the other routes out of the play. That happens here.

I see your points.

IF Brown had been coached up on the option to set his feet and dump it off to 11, then yes that is not a great play.

The slowness of 11 still seems to be part of the problem.

Given that he does drift (part of the play or not), I don't find fault with him for the rest of the play.
