we didnt call him FG Gus for nothing

my favorite play besides the Cannella TD: Steele calling the all-out blitz on 4th down in UW’s last possession - really ballsy move that paid off

Golesh is not one to sit on the clock from the games I've watched from his last yeat.

42-10 AU

Brad Law looked it up the other day and inside the Red Zone, Golesh offense snaps the ball on average with more than 25 seconds on the play clock.

LFG!

Nate Craig-Meyers making an appearance in that video too. Another 4 star WR that did basically nothing at Auburn...

Watching that makes me appreciate Chandler Cox even more. Just did the quiet stuff that made the offense go.

Who was the other WR around the same time?

Very talented, but left/kicked off?

Seth Williams? He is maybe a bit older than Nate, but the only other one I can remember dipping out early for reasons.

I’m thinking of Kyle Davis.

I thought he would be great.

Yeah, I forgot about him.

That UW game was 2019. Davis was dismissed in 2017 which was NCM's freshman season.

Sidenote: I cannot believe it has been nearly a decade since some of these names...Holy hell.

Yeah Kyle Davis made that crazy one handed catch across the middle, Then it seems not long after he was kicked off. I think same thing happened to Duke Williams.

Gus recruited some good WRs but he couldnt keep them on the team or they disappointed.

I'll raise you seven.

42-17 Auburn.... don't think they'll have enough D to stop the run. Not late in the game.

Unfortunately, Kyle Davis liked his cocaine.

ETA: If you saw him now, you wouldn’t even recognize him. He’s lost all muscle and is really thin. Looks terrible.

lot of irrational exuberance ITT

i hope its justified, but until i see our OL perform at a level way above the past 4-5 years i’m keeping my expectations in check

long term i think AU gets back to where we were in our glory days, but i’m giving Golesh a long leash this season

Not really expecting a total turn around for either team.

We both had lots of holes to fill and they look to have upgrades on defense. However it's a mess of new linemen and a new defensive coordinator. We on the other hand are building upon a successful defense. Lagway should be an upgrade however he won't be surrounded with Florida talent and it's a new coach and brand new team for him. We got unknowns as well but at least it's not HC and QB. It's near home field for us. And although it was last year they were dead last in QB sacks* and this year we got a big boy QB with wheels.

I'm thinking relatively close game til late when Baylor gets cramped up, winded, and working on wobbly legs.

eta: last in big12 - my bad
