Thorne would easily be the best QB on this team and we would be at least 4-2 if not 5-1.

Yeah right. More like still have the same losses plus Baylor.

Thorne is still just Thorne. Arnold is his own.

Thorne didnt score much but we at least moved the ball up the field more often. 38th in total offense to 103rd in total offense is not nothing.

Thorne isnt playing this year and we are still not better off for it. That suggests let it go!

I’m fine with Freeze staying as long as he goes back to CEO type that concentrates on recruiting, fires Austin and Thorton, and hires a top OC that handles the QB recruiting.
AMEN!!!! Very slim pickens with what is available to replace him. Maybe the correct move is to go after a big time OC and QB coach. Renegotiate the contract with a reduction, that frees up money for the new hires, and add incentives based on performance.

Otherwise, we are hiring an unproven, up and comer like Lashlee, or a rehab like Gundy. At least this way, we have a shot at preserving the current players AND the recruiting class.

Gus left Harsin with very little. Harsin burned all that down. Freeze basically started with almost nothing. Fire him now, every decent player we have will hit the portal. The top class we have currently coming in, disappears overnight. The next coach, and that's the the BIG IF in this equation, comes in on another total rebuild. Next thing you know, 20 years flashes by since we were relevant.......Just like Tennessee.

No way people with that kind of money truly believe this nonsense.

Heard this one already. We got Nix.

No good OC is going to work for Hugh Freeze and whoever is hired will run what Freeze tells him… with another bad portal QB, new receivers and a mediocre line.

Wait, you think players are going to quick around if we keep him? Offensive players aren't going to continue to go out there and be embarrassed and defensive players aren't going to keep laying on the line only to watch the offense go 3 and out everytime. Top class? Our class is as weak as any harsin class right now.

That’s not always true. People make bad investments then cut losses to move on to the next thing.

Harsin was an example.

There’s been no improvement in the W column other than recruiting. Doubt Freeze stays if the losses continue.

No one really knows what’s going on behind closed doors.

What I do know is Hugh has lost support of the team and fan base. He will be fired by Monday if we lose to Mizzou.

Regardless of the rest of the season Auburn will have a new head coach in 2026.

It's Marshall, what do you expect? I don't take much he says anymore with much sincerity.

Yea, I think that article is nothing more than just a backup "vote of confidence" piece after Cohen's statements. I don't think it really has any true insight into what the PTB are thinking. Personal opinion, if we lose this weekend, I think Freeze is gone.

Other than the offense sucking arse this season has went almost exactly like I thought it would. I predicted 9-3 or 8-4 with us starting 4-2 or 3-3. I thought we had a legit chance at OU and at home to UGA. I say that to just say lets see how the season plays out before we light the torches. We all want to win so I get the frustration but the bitchfest hurts recruiting.
