I want to cheer for Coe but absolutely hate Belichick, so I hope Coe gets cut and has success elsewhere

Any idea why Tega fell as far as he did?

We sort of discussed it, but the consensus was:
1. He’s not as big as we thought
2. His injury may be more than we thought.
3. He’s still sort of new to the game.4.
4. He played in a system that is not NFL ready

This is a myth. There are plenty of NFL teams that run the same "type" blocking schemes that our offense does. Our tackles for the most part aren't set the edge type blockers, they are down blockers and move up the the next level. And when they are setting the edge they use kick blocks letting the ends take themselves up field and then kicking out to create an inside hole. That's why on the buck sweep we pull the guards to "set the edge". Many NFL teams utilize the same type scheme. Now do they get enough pass pro reps that's a different discussion.

I heard he was struggling with classes too. It probably would have affected his eligibility if accurate.

Patriots seem to do a really good job with hybrid DEs, such as Trey Flowers.

Hoping for the best for Coe.

I searched the depths of the internet and twitter, it seems there are only 3 post-draft landing spots for Cam.

Patriots: Did not draft a QB. They have Stidham, Hoyer, and Kessler.

Giants: Rumors of interest, but they ran off Eli to make Jones the starter. So I guess Cam would be a backup there.

Raiders: They have Carr and Mariota, I don't really see them bringing in another vet to compete.

It kinda seems barring a major QB injury that Cam could be unemployed for next season.

I still think Jaguars are an option.

Good cap space and Minshew is still a 6th rd draft pick who caught fire for a while last year. Near the end of year he was average at best.

I love Cam but if he can’t run he is also average at best.

This Covid is probably really hurting him because he can’t get in front of teams and show if he still has it.

Or it's giving him the time to truly heal without any signs of a possible letdown.

Bet The Pigskin
@BetThePigskin
The Patriots have moved to heavy favorites (-190) to land Cam Newton.

Jaguars +300
Steelers +750
Broncos +1000
Bears +1100
Raiders +1500
Redskins +1500
