This is the first time I have watched Okl. this year. I am not impressed.

And shot over 90% FTs.
Every game now is a trap game if it’s not One if top SEC teams left to play

They are 30th on KenPom. Certainly capable of beating us. I think we have a chance to really turn up defensive pressure and create turnovers

Glad game is at home.
Basketball has more upsets than football. One guy is 20% of the team so a couple of guys play lights out and an upset can happen.
We’ve seen hot starts at Ole Miss and Mizzou. Kentucky game was a tough start. The depth of this team and having multiple scorers really helps.
I think we beat Oklahoma.
Jabari did not forget how to shoot.
I look for him to bounce back.
Flanigan will get more comfortable as he plays more.
The bench is the key. Cardwell keeps Kessler out of foul trouble. Greene is really a sixth starter. Williams can get buckets. Cambridge is productive.
Someone asked me if I thought this team was better than the final 4 team. I answered, “the bigs are better so Jabari and Kessler would start on that team, but Chuma, Harper, and Brown would round out the starting 5. More players on this team would be in the rotation. This year’s team has more upside.”
Imagine the best of both teams together.

The bigs are better but the 2019 team guards were unreal during the tournament runs. Okeke was also playing at an insane level.
So far the 2019 seems like they had the higher ceiling. If Okeke had been healthy they win it all and it probably wouldn’t have been close.
I think the current team could win it all but it’ll be more difficult without the offensive firepower.

Oklahoma is certainly capable of beating Auburn. On the other hand, Auburn is at home, they've had several days to chill and Auburn Arena will be lit. I feel better about this one than I did about going to Missouri on a cold Tuesday night fresh after an event like the Kentucky game.

I expect them to come out hair on fire for this game after a wake up call at Mizzou.

Agreed.
Also re:comparing this team to our final 4 team, I agree for the most part. Only difference is I’m not 100% sure Bryce > KD. Probably pretty close.

Agreed. Sooners have beaten Florida, Arkansas, and Iowa state. Those are all top 15 teams right now. Played Butler close and have played 5 top 25 teams this month. They will be ready. I think it's gonna be another close one. Hope crowd is as electric as last Saturday.

That final four team was so good in March on offense. I don’t know if we’ll see something like that again for a long time.

Bryce was absolutely more valuable on offense than KD. He was a pretty good on ball defender as well.
They're both integral pieces to their respective teams. It's apples to oranges though, they're not comparable players and it's kind of silly to try

Jabari and Kessler have gotten all the hype, but is KD actually our MVP? Seems like hes brought us out of a slump many games this year

He’s a dark horse. When we need a bucket he or Jabari is usually the guy.

He's great for clutch off the bench points, but it's unsure how well he does for an entire game.

quote:I would argue WGJ has been the MVP in SEC play. The fact that there are 4 different players you could make a reasonable argument for really highlights depth as the strength of this team.

My MVP is Green. Nobody on the team can run the pick and roll but him. It is no coincidence that a lot of games we start out slow. Green comes in the game and we all of a sudden go on a run.
