Prior to Greene the AD position at Auburn, in my opinion, was nothing more than a pile of BS, talking head, lapdog crap with zero significance. As details leak out it appears to me that he's as impressive behind-the-scenes as he is in front of the camera.

War Damn Eagle Mr. Greene!

Good-ole-boy organizations are rarely functional.

Looks like Greene is a no-nonsense outsider who shook things up a bit in the AD.

Its amazing what happens when you hire professionals instead of morons who write at a 3rd grade level and never had a job outside of Lee County,Alabama.

I think the AD did something right. LINK

I met him & talked to him for about 10 min at an A-Club bbq 2 years ago on A-Day and was very impressed. Hoping to see him make some changes in our other sports soon too.

JJ made some good-to-great hires while AD, but he was barely more than a fundraiser. He listened to boosters a little too much and hired a few too many friends. Our athletic department was bloated and poorly managed under his watch. Great at getting the checks, subpar at everything else

I think we're all encouraged by Greene's attitude and leadership, and the direction our athletic department seems to be going

I have a lot of confidence in ADAG knowing he’s not part of the good ole boy network and willing to do what’s best for the athletic programs going forward. He’s a huge upgrade over the former AD!

He’s held jobs outside of one county in his life, which was a big step for us.

JJ wasn’t that bad. Housel didn’t take scheduling serious enough. And Dye as coach and AD is the gold standard for AU. Before Dye as AD there wasn’t much of any influence by the AD. Just take whatever scraps bammer left over.

I said in another thread that he is turning out to be the young dynamic leader we all hoped he'd be. He is really shining through all this. Good for him. He deserves the accolades he's getting.

Bruce Pearl would have taken the Auburn job if Daffy Duck was the AD. This isn't some big accomplishment.

I miss playing against Florida and Tennessee every few years for Home/Away. Part of me thinks Auburn should be East and Missouri West with Alabama penned as a must have game, and maybe LSU as well. The East would do us and the SEC a few favors if we could get those 2 perennial matchups yearly.

Probably a downvote post.

JJ signing Pearl was a big accomplishment.

Agreed. He could have easily decided to not take a HC serving a show cause but decided to take a chance. I’m not a JJ fan by any means but he went out on a high note getting Bruce and Butch.

Not true.

In the past Auburn would have been leery to approach a coach w NCAA baggage, after we had our issues w NCAA hot water.

JJ should be given credit for first, having the cahones to go after him, knowing their would be bad publicity.

And second for convincing him, Auburn was a good fit for him, knowing he could have waited it out and gotten a job at a more basketball school.

So, to slough it off is not really understanding how important it was, and who pulled itoff.
