re: SEC old timers, any thoughts on Shug Jordan?

If you look at Gen. Patton's Jeep you will notice that it has " War Eagle" on the bottom of the windshield. As I understand it that was compliments to Shug and Auburn. Lots of opinions about that.

Prior to Greene the AD position at Auburn, in my opinion, was nothing more than a pile of BS, talking head, lapdog crap with zero significance. As details leak out it appears to me that he's as impressive behind-the-scenes as he is in front of the camera.

If Cristobal came to Auburn, hanging on to Steele would not be a bad idea.

Earthquakes and fires, cigars at midfield, makes everyone in the SEC pay attention to Auburn and LSU. The Prayer at Jordan Hare and Kick Six pretty much made Auburn world-famous. The national media considers this last game as one of the most entertaining games they've ever seen, especially in the Auburn/Alabama rivalry plus it almost always has a huge impact on the NC landscape.
In other words, everyone and I do mean everyone, knows Auburn and is always watching if they enjoy college football (basketball is not far behind I hope).
My friends in Florida (ACC) always watch Auburn's big games especially with Alabama. They enjoy the hell out of it.
everyone hates the Gump's and loves the flight of the Golden Eagle. I feel like we're in good shape.

Christ!
When A+M and Misery joined the conference I read through a few of the Big Whatever conference forums just to see what the reactions were. It basically boiled down to Texas being nothing more than a parasitic media whore that was responsible for the conference rotting from the inside out. Nothing has changed
If you wish to leave the conference perhaps you could go Independent. You, Catholics, and the F-ing Mormons could fight with each other or…, maybe the PAC ?? and play ducks, beavers, and sea otters. Whatever the case, the SEC is the last place you would want to be. You would constantly have your asses kicked by teams like LSU. You can’t get the quality and quantity of talent needed to compete, plus no decent coach would want the job. Texas in the SEC, would be the perfect place for a coach to destroy his coaching career.
A+M and Misery have blended nicely into the SEC in my opinion, with one promptly competing for an SEC title right off the bat
frick-Off… and Go Away…… and take Arkansas with you (please)

Wise move. At the end of the day the < Kansas job is a endless black hole. Use the offer as a negotiating tool with Hut. Whatever you do don’t let them stick you with a ridiculously high buyout clause

re: New Deal for Gus

The man is new to this compared to others. How long did it take him to get it right on the defensive side of the ball? As far as I'm concerned he finally got it right on the offensive side and it took the LSU game for him to realize he better let his staff do their f-ing job.
After everything I've seen, and I go back to Shug Jordan, we have someone who finally got it right. There appears to be no outside interference (Bobby Lowder type BS), he's surrounded himself with top-notch people who know what the hell they're doing, and we may be looking at a season that is absolutely historic when it comes to college football.
then again we're Auburn, this is definitely the time to frick it up
:banghead:
I don't want the little lint picking weasel to go anywhere. I want to see Auburn consistently beat his arse
that includes leg humper's and corndogs

Same here
I have to go back a lot of years to find a game that I passionately enjoyed watching because of the defense. Unbelievable! Every way I look at this game, it purges a lot of demons.
If this is a sign of things to come,.... no, I refused to allow myself to be disappointed right now. I'm going to savor the moment and watch the game 8 – 9 more times before the 25th.

RPO ?

If you’re anywhere near as clueless about RPO/Chip Lindsey as I am, and have a little time to kill( 44:28 min. ) you may enjoy the hell out of listening to this. It’s from wareaglesportsradio. They put some real garbage out sometimes but this is pretty good.
