Duke, what an absolute waste. From what I understand, he cant even enter the portal til after the season, so he wasted a year with no pay, and will sign at a big discount whoever picks him up after that.

Later. That’s why I’ve turned to the approach of I dont want to know their names until I hear them called on Saturdays. Side note I’d never recruit another from the Simmons family.

Tifwiw but some poster on the corner named kiddkountry ( some apparently well known restaurant owner named Edward and has some ties to recruits in the area) is saying the stuff with Duke soured a lot of people in the Selma area on Auburn and think Duke's innocent and apparently is a big reason supposedly Simmons flipped and he did some podcast or something yesterday talking about it. Posters on the corner aren't happy with him because when the stuff with Duke went down he was saying he was going to tell everyone he knows to not come to Auburn

pfffffff that dude would flip back for more money. Also ... stealing when you were given 6 figures at the LEAST? That's a legendary level of dumb. That's almost as dumb as Shaun Kitchens and Dakota Mosley. If this kid looks up to that, then I don't want him anywhere near this team. I'd interview his brother just to make sure he's not secretly being a cancer also.

Just what Ive read or seen on podcasts.
Duke is ultra talented with a 2 star effort. Coaches questioned the latter. It progresses to issues with teammates and ultimately this fight/scooter issue.
Wonder why this Edward did not explain to the kid beforehand. Because now he is out of NIL money for the year, out of practicing and learning with an SEC team, and he cant hit the portal til after the season, and even then his NIL will be at a big discount. Nah, easier to blame Auburn, that attitude will work wonders when looking for another spot.
As far as "souring" his friends on Auburn, well if they have the same work ethic, would we want them anyway....
I hope Duke gets his head on straight and has success, and Cedrick as well, just not well against us.

As expected Karlos May commits to Ohio State.
Kinda figured when he walked out of the official with us and no glowing comments, then we have Kamba commit shortly after.
On other notes, Marquis Evans has only played in 19 football games, talk about upside. And he measured an 84 inch wingspan, wow.
