Haven't talked to Sollie in a while. Gonna have to get in touch with him and grill him a bit

He is an Auburn guy so we got that going for us. His whole family is huge Auburn. I don't know about his wife though.

Bartow at 247 had an interview with some interesting comments about Auburn.

First. He said I just finished a road trip to 15 of the top HS in Orlando Tampa area. Coaches and players had great things to say about Golesh and staff, Jeris McIntyre name came up a lot. Remember he was the top receiver on Campbells team, went on to play for the Chiefs. He played at Tampa Catholic, after he retired from football came back and was the head coach of Tampa Catholic, and the year before Golesh came to Auburn he joined the USF staff and now has followed Golesh back to Auburn. All of that said, when the rankings come out Auburn fans will be impressed with some of the blue chip kids from this area of central Florida that have Auburn in their top group.

Second, name three guys you like from the current class. Okay of the ones I have seen in person, these arent just some I have read about or seen film.

Myson Cook. He is 6 1 or 6 2, and he is all of 230 plus, he is a grown man. And he is that fast. If you are gonna run the football, well you got the best running back in this class to do it with.

Nash Johnson, the absolute steal of this class. Kid understands various zone coverages, is great in man, and has good length.

Reed Ramsier. Just was there a week ago, he has the skills and is well coached, he also has that drive. I watched him push a blocking sled for an hour and 10 minutes in 100 degree heat

MJC - Beast!

Nate Kamba - huge and lots of upside

Marquis Evans - Still growing! Predict he moves up in ranking at end of year

On a sidenote, I did not realize JPMorgan Chase has a sat headquarters in Columbus with 12,000 employees, right down the road from Ohio State. Patch endorsement tie makes sense now.

No. You take my word.

We landed Alaric Williams and Tyler Carr from Southside, Gadsden Alabama.

The preppy white boy village

Derrick Nix also from Atalla lifted the curse bestowed upon us from the whoring Caddy of 35901 which of whom we saw you weeping just because he won some dumb game as cheerleader HC against an A&M team without a pulse.

It impacts players who did not redshirt, played more than four games as a freshman and would have only had 4 years.

Melendez, Eric Winters, New Boy just got another year as examples.

And redshirts are no longer a thing as well.

A player can now play in every game for 5 seasons.

It’s only for the 2022 class I believe. It was a case specific to that class. Judge ruled those players that exhausted their eligibility this spring, and only played 4 years, be given immediate additional year of eligibility.

He Took a RS his first year. This is his 5th year so he is out of eligibility after this season.

does that mean anyone from that class who hasn’t signed an NFL deal would be eligible to play this fall? might be worth picking up a couple of depth pieces

i wonder who will be the first class of 22 player to get cut from an NFL squad before the season starts, then sues the ncaa for immediate eligibility

As far as I can tell, yes. Assuming they have used their four years of eligibility (took no redshirt year and played all four years, with their eligibility ending this past spring).

Going to be interesting to see what happens with the free agents. I’d assume they will also sue since they can probably make a decent argument that they’d might not have signed their UDFA contract if they knew they’d have eligibility, and return to school. Lawyers are going to murder this sport beyond recovery

Timing of this, going to be very difficult for the NCAA to do anything, and I think they knew that. I bet Texas Tech is calling every QB they can right now.
