It’s strange to feel more confident in the Oline recruiting than the Dline recruiting for a change. We need to see some good Dline recruits start popping up.

We've had much better recruiting on the DLine in the past 3 years than we have had on OLine.
1 4* Oline man signed from highschool in '20, '21, 22' combined.
6 4*s from high school on Dline in that same time. One transferred out but we als signed M'ba.
Dline is in a much better state from a previous recruiting perspective than OLine. Freeze is definitely focusing on the right position with the little time he has.

It’s a two edge sword why I don’t like our new DL coach however one reason why I don’t like our new DL coach is because Liberty’s DL was already stacked before Garrett came in. Freeze stacks DL to the tune of they had two former Auburn DL that didn’t even play much.
The year before Garrett the Libery DL had 37 sacks and was 17th in the nation in
yards per rush given up. Liberty managed 41 sacks under Garrett in continuation but rush defense got sliced to 35th and run defense as a whole regressed. So basically I’m not worried bout our depth, still ain’t buying Garrett yet though.

That’s 26 guys that are trending or committed. If 1/3 of the guys and gals we’re in the mix for end up signing then we’re in the neighborhood of 34 signees…we’re getting close to where we need to be…within 6-10 bodies that can be picked up between now and summer.

Dline is in bad shape too. We need some guys that can generate a pass rush.

McCall has to complete 30 credit hours before he could transfer to AU. He might could get it completed with the spring semester and several mini summer courses but still would be difficult. I just don’t see it happening.
