Also with a new system you probably want your potential starter in for spring install

And yes j like we need OL, DL, QB, WR, LB and some young depth pieces in the secondary.

Yes we can have a better team next year but to have a good team it’s gonna take a couple years. Expectations should be 6-6 year 1, 8-4 year 2. Then see where the roster is.

It’s just great to see a head coach and entire staff busting their arse to get the jimmies and joes

Not in the portal era, and I promise you Freeze isn’t thinking that way either.

If Robby is the starter and of right now he is going into next year. We don’t have Tank. Limited bodies on the DL and not even sure we have enough bodies on the OL to make a 2 deep of scholarship players. I have no clue who our linebackers will be. So yes regardless what we think can happen in the portal it still has to happen. Just 4 days ago McCall was a done deal now it looks like a complete impossibility. So lots can change in a hurry.

When you get down to fairly equal teams keep chemistry is big and fighting for your team. How did that work out for Ole Miss this season when the going got tough?

Jesus Christ. What’s he been doing for 3-1/2 years?

Same as Desi Sills we don’t offer his major.

Yeah seriously. If he has trouble getting credits to transfer with us I imagine he’ll run into similar problems at other schools. That’s a weird situation.

And yeah if we go 6-6 next year I think that’s disappointing. We went 5-7 in this abysmal year and could have gone 6-6 if we had fired Harsin earlier on the bye week. So 6-6 is unacceptable

Ok, that makes sense.

If that’s the case, then yeah… he’s not coming. Best case he’d be getting here late summer… that’s not good.

I don’t know what his desired degree is in but like Desi we don’t offer a sports management degree. Whatever degree McCall is working towards at Coastal we don’t offer at AU. So after year 2 you have to be at 40% toward your degree if he were to transfer to AU and complete 30 credit hours to be eligible.

Year 1 20% toward degree
2 40% toward degree
3 60% toward degree
4 80% toward degree

To be eligible

As hard as it is to believe we were deeper and more talented this year than we will be next year. Also, I'm not sure what it looks like next year but the west relatively sucked this year.

You can bet if he was interested in uat, they’d magically have his major offered. Auburn is still playing by different rules.

What makes you think it will be better next year?… good chance state takes a step back without Leach… Ark and Ole Miss aren’t likely to drastically improve this offseason… bama is losing young. A&M is a dumpster fire.

We drop Penn St for Cal and play Vandy… two winnable road games.

I’m not sure. But sports management definitely needs to be a degree that AU offers. And has nothing to do with not get Desi. And like I mentioned I don’t know what McCall’s major is.

We’ve gotten a couple players out of high school because we offer a pilot degree not all universities offer the same.

Sports management is apparently one of the top 5 majors at CC so I bet that’s it if his being ineligible has to do with AU not having his major.

Auburn has a sports management graduate minor, but not a major and that is mind blowing. I imagine the thought is a lot do the kinesiology/exercise science program then add that as the minor at the grad level.

Bama doesn’t have one either, not at the main….think you have to go UAH, Alabama A&M, etc for that undergrad major.
