How the hell would JC Hart be worth 50k? His top 4 is Vandy, UCF, Auburn, and MSU. Do they have huge budgets or something? Nope but Auburn can’t compete with the big dogs unless the player lives within an hour.

I was more using him as an example of a tier. 50k is probably on the high end for him.. but for a 3* at a valuable position with good offers they will get some good money, it just won't be hundreds on thousands.

Look at ON3 nil eval tool, players are nowhere near what you are saying.

Which probably means On3’s metric is off. Most of their estimates are really low compared to “rumors”

Right now the only good thing ON3 has is message boards and team reporters lol.

Your numbers are probably right Jonesy, an average of 100K and 85 kids on scholly, and if you guys think they shouldnt be paid, then ask yourself why we have them on scholly in the first place.
And remember we have to have some staff to negotiate all these "deals" EVERY year now for every player, and someone to oversee it and a support staff.
Thank your lucky stars T Boone Pickens is no longer around or Oklahoma State would be champs every year, he donated 600 million to the university over the years

Seems like a slot, not sure why they would pass on Prean to go after this guy.

the recruiting class will still be bad

We are technically still last in the conference in recruiting rankings.

Well aren’t we glad that signing day isn’t in August?

Yes. Because so far we only have 6 commitments.

I don't see it changing much between now and then other than the # of commits we have. At what point is it safe to assume we are exploring our 3rd or 4th option at several positions?

It's bad because their list of potential targets past those 6 current commits is very small. They're already at the point of expanding the list to a bunch of "underrated" 3-stars who are now receiving attention. The 2023 class deflection has already begun: the new projection is to expect ~5+ JUCO guys and upwards of 12+ transfer portal signees. The reason for this is because 2023 HS recruiting is not going well. Obviously when you look around the landscape and see teams with 18+ current commits, and we have 6...that isn't by design, nor is it planned.
