I think with a new OC they are having to sell the vision etc and will take time.

but a 3* OT is the best we can do for 2022?

Good players want to play with other good players and in good position rooms on good teams. Eventually, our coaches are going to have to step up and play the game everyone else is. Once we get momentum we’ll be in better shape but we’re pretty low on momentum

As Randy said, in many ways, we’re in the same spot as the last few off seasons. We have one 4* OL on board for 2023. Gonna need some quality tackles to take a chance

I like UTs strategy. Over pay. All OTs get 50k per year.

Any optimism that Friend can develop what we have into a serviceable OL?

I don’t think he’s been particularly great at developing lines at other schools. I think at Tennessee he was a great recruiter and fairly mediocre developer.

So i trust the coaches

Why do you trust them? They haven't shown anything yet that says we should trust them.

Now, if you look at Bruce Pearl, I trust that guy 100%. I do not question anything he does.

For Harsin and his coaches, hope is a better word. I really do hope they have success and bring in great players.

I support Harsin but I do question Friend. We got no oline from the portal last yr albeit the coaching hires came late. But I would have expected more and better recruiting given our enormous need. Let’s see what he is able to do since we have 3 oline transfers we have focused on. As for his coaching, I just don’t know. But he certainly doesn’t seem to be drawing recruits. I would love to get an oline coach from the nfl personally.

In fairness this OC hasn't been one before, good or bad, but has coached up a decent NFL QB and might know how to get kids to come here that want to make it to the NFL too

I'd feel a little better about Harsin if he hadn't shite the bed the last 5 games. I'm trying to be optimistic but there is less distance between me and the sky screamers right now.
My resolve comes from being an Auburn fan my whole life. I've been through this cycle so many times that it just feels natural. That's why I am somewhat optimistic. If Harsin breaks the Auburn cycle I'll be ready for him to go unless he breaks it in a positive way.

The last 6 games were all garbage. He had to fire his OC already. If the wheels come off down the stretch again he could be in big trouble fast. You know how our boosters would rather pay buyouts than NIL money

I trust Harsin more than all the power brokers surrounding the program.

I still also believe he has to prove himself.

If this is the actual case, then we will never be at the Bama/UGa/LSU/TAMU level.

Personally, I'm okay with that. But then again I'm one of those 'loser mentality' types that 'accepts mediocrity'.

Why do y’all make stuff up out of thin air?

We’ve been rumored to being paying players forever and y’all believe until it becomes legal. Then y’all switch and say our boosters refuse to pay players

Is Kyren Lacy in AU today? He tweeted about an hour ago "Where my War Eagle fans at?"
