Jeff Holland played defense, went early and should not have, thats what I referenced.
You made a weak as shite comparison and I pointed it out, that's it. Derick Hall's NFL decision has absolutely nothing to do with what did or didn't happen to Jeff Holland. Actually, most of my post wasn't even directed at you as I was making an overall point about people lazily tossing Jeff Holland's name around as some "scare story of guys who enter the draft early" without even understanding what his situation was.
I went off into Keynesian economics because it's been three years since Holland went undrafted, and people still don't seem to understand that the majority of that was driven by pure physical limitations which would have followed him into his Senior year as well. It clearly needs to be brought up because you literally just proved the point by bringing him up as a comparison.
Instead of saying "oh good point", you then chose to get personal and pouty for no reason. Yeah man, I'm off my meds by daring to correct a weak comparison LOL.

Line maybe, LBs though could be a problem

Steiner and Riley look absolutely lost at times. Hopefully Pappoe can stay healthy and play up to his potential to help that group out.

metafour,
I never compared the two, stop the rant and learn to read. And go to another board if you insist on this nonsense you are being childish.

In defense of meta he is right about Holland not going to increase his draft stock. It’s debatable to argue that he should’ve stayed another year for the CFB experience. I don’t think you can say someone like Holland without a shadow of doubt made a good or bad move in that scenario.
But there are also players that leave too early when they shouldn’t have and when you said Holland, I think that’s what you mainly meant.

Steiner help up pretty well looking at the stats of the Houston game.
You got to remember w/ Wooten and McClain, they hardly ever came out of the game so Riley and Steiner didn't get that much real playing time.
We do need another thumper in the middle though.

We need more speed on the edge.
I love Hall a lot, but we lacked outside speed guys. It showed a lot against Houston. If Hall and Leota couldn't bull rush outside that QB had way too much time to throw.

Why do we hate OL?
Wish I knew. It is extremely concerning.
A good Offensive Line is just protection for sissies. Real men don't use them. Just like they don't wear condoms, seatbelts or helmets.
At least that is what Gary Busey told me.

Speaking of. Did Christian Tutt ever find a new home?

Last I saw he entered the NFL draft and wasn’t taken nor did he earn a free agent offer. If he has since found a team to take a chance I haven’t heard or seen it.

KN says Auburn is still talking to Dillon Gabriel. He’s not sure if it’s significant information or not

I know. And Steiner did play better in the bowl game. But I believe he started for McClain in the Ga St game due to the targeting call in the Penn St game. Remember the white boy walk on RB that looked like he was running in sand? All those yards he had in the 1st half were mainly due to Steiner either making the wrong read and not making his run fits. Or he made the correct read but was a step slow in getting to his fit.
I believe Steiner and Riley both have all the physical tools to be serviceable SEC LBers. This is where we see if Jeff Schmedding can earn his paycheck and teach them the mental aspect of playing LB.

Seems to be some thought that UCLA's QB will return, which might be related to the Gabriel talk.

Makes sense
I’m in Savannah through the end of the week. I’ll start paying more attention to everything when I’m back. How’s everyone doing?
