2023 3* OL Lance Williams and 5* CB Tony Mitchell will visit Auburn for the MSU game

KN also reports that ‘22 3* LB Deuce Spurlock could OV but Michigan is pressuring him not to. I could see a scenario where he quietly OVs for the IB instead

Lance Williams:

Flowing blonde hair and a state level wrestler. Will Friend has been recruiting him since he was a freshman

I agree with this and it is why I was always confused by Malzahn era OL recruiting

Even teams who got the best OL recruits regularly recruited 3-4 OL per cycle. Malzahn would be fine with 0-2, often put all his eggs in one recruits basket we weren't even favored to get.

I'm convinced that a good OL development coach + recruiting 5 OL per cycle that are 3* solid to high potential "projects" is enough to get you a great starting 5 every year

Yep, it’s a numbers game with OL. You can’t just bank on your evals being spot on. Between the steep physical growth needed, learning curve, and high risk of injuries you’ve got to have a good amount of margin.

If we get him hopefully he plays like Tarzan and not like Jane.

Michigan 3* CB commit Myles Pollard from Tennessee is supposed to visit for the MSU game. We recruited him pretty heavily before he committed to Michigan.

He’s related to someone, maybe Caden Story? I really can’t remember now

I think you're right on it being Story. That sounds right.

Aside from some transfers basically all the guys on the field that are losing to MSU weren’t recruited by Harsin.

I’m pro-melt. But let’s keep some basic level of sense in the recruiting thread

Did I say Harsin? Today is a direct result of malzahn’s shite recruiting. Harsin’s shite recruiting will be a factor in 2 years.
