And I'm just going to keep it all the way real here, as a whitey myself.. White LBs, especially MLBs, don't have a high rate of success lol.

Huh?

Linebacker is one of the few position groups where you DO see successful white players. Lets get real; most position groups are going to steer heavily towards black players at this level. But this isn't something like recruiting a white CB or white RB lmao. Luke Kuechly was literally the best ILB in the NFL until he retired. Brian Urlacher, etc, etc.

Obviously I'm not comparing this kid to those players, but this comment seems very forced. There are a lot of very good white linebackers.

Thats 2 in like 2 decades.. Now go back and watch the kid from the national title game get torched all day long lol. I was half joking about about that part anyway.. I do think we should wait and see if he can add weight and how he plays with it, especially since we like him at MLB, before taking his commitment this early though. He just looks like an OLB to me.

To be fair, lining up just about any middle linebacker with D Smith is a recipe for disaster lol

So confusing...

So the HS coaches were able to pressure them in the same day, they announced he was released but not to an SEC school?

It looks bad they had to make different decisions in the same day...:)

KN’s timeline:
Thursday: Informed of his release but not to SEC schools
Friday: Informed he was released anywhere

I do think that Alabama HS coaches had a lot to do with this reversal

Its going to be a real kick in the balls if he doesn't come here now

No kidding. Sounds like 247 has talked to him a lot lately and feels extremely confident he’s coming to Auburn.

Are we getting Brooks or not?

If not, let’s have a philosophical conversation about white cornerbacks in the NFL.

If we are, stick to recruiting.

So if it happens, will he count towards our 2021 recruiting class or as a transfer? I know it doesn't matter in the end, but the optics of our class getting a bump would be good

Indications are that he’d be in our 2021 class for the rankings. We’d get to #20

If he puts on some weight, he could be great. That little skinny fricker is an animal, makes plays all over the field.

I think he has more potential as an edge rusher than at ILB.
