Shocker. We had a three win season last year. They probably want to see if we will be any good anytime soon.

If we feel that Jeremy Johnson is our future at QB then having a QB like White for 4-5 years would be a fantastic deal for AU.

Exactly! But hardly anybody, it seems, believes in JJ or wants to talk about him as the future. I don't know why I feel SW would be better for the chemistry of the QB group but I do.

Not only that but I believe this kid could be what Gus is looking for: an extension of himself out there on the field, a QB that thinks like he does.

The last quarterback that I called the future was Frazier and before that was Burns. Both had all the tools at the high school level so now I am taking the wait and see approach before proclaiming the next Heisman quarterback.

I get it. We've had a rough go of it. But it remains, more than likely, NM and then JJ. As long a JJ is patient and falls in line with Gus.

Q & A with Jaylon Denson earlier on twitter.

Said Thereze was the fastest on the team
NM throws the hardest ball
The defense talks the most trash
Angelo Blackson is the strongest

And Sammie Coates has put on some good size. Probably the biggest WR we've had since Anthony Mix.

Honestly, I don't have a good feeling right now. We only have nine commits and most of those came from Craig. Just seems we have no momentum right now.

Hoke said he has 3 years to play 2 but he also mentioned he is looking for programs with immediate playing time so odds are, he has max 2 years wherever he goes

Yup, it seems the players have really been reenergized when it comes to work outs. It started in the spring with the guys competing for green jerseys and all summer players have been tweeting about their progress in the weight room. It's refreshing to see after hearing stories last year of players skipping workouts. I have no doubt that Yox knew his shite, but I think a change was necessary to get the players excited again about weight training.

meh, I feel we are in for another strong recruiting year. I feel it will only become more solid with a strong season of improvement. It seems the way our recruiting has gone over the last few years. Even under Chizik for some reason. It will be good by signing day.

You say only 9 commits like it's some small number. That's a couple more than we had at this time last year, when we had a top 10 class. Considering we are coming off a 3 win year, that's pretty stellar.

We had 12 commits this time last year. We had Trey Johnson, Dee, Jarrad Davis, AJ Jackson, Lemond Johnson, Sills, who all flipped, to go along with the early 6 commits who stuck in Hutch, E-Rob, Melton, Toney, JJ, and Carlson...Plus were about to pick up Reuben and Wilkins.

I could not remember if I dreamed that he was committed at one time or if it was reality.

Also FWIW despite what 247's timeline says Auburn will be White's first visit after the Elite 11, not Wisky.
