I’m not Hugh defender or doubter.

But this is 1 game in the first season. Calm the frick down everyone. It was a horrible loss yes but not like we were winning anything. Keep recruiting.

And if your happiness this year depended on if we went to Nashville or charlotte for a bowl game then that’s on you.

We played and coached like shite today. It will happen again in the future. Regardless if Hugh makes $6 million or $6 dollars. I have tried all season to tell everyone that until the ‘25 season don’t expect much. Then expect the turn. We struck out big time at WR in the portal maybe this portal season we get better.

Yes, the most devastating and embarrassing loss in Auburn history. We will get better players, but what I saw tonight was a coaching issue. A lack of energy and awareness from the players at home. Thats on the coaching staff for not having them motivated or prepared.

That is not why anyone is angry. Hugh is responsible the most embarrassing loss we all can remember. He should be let go tomorrow.

Possibly. We certainly laughed at Saban when he lost to LA Monroe.

But Freeze also has a history of laying major eggs in the season.

This loss was way less of a receiver problem. It was all around. Offense was horrible at every position. Defense couldn’t stop them.

Even more concerning that this same thing happened to Freeze last season. Huge favorite getting boatraced.

The Birmingham Bowl is a very disturbing reality as of today. The Birmingham Bowl.

I agree we didn’t make great adjustments but we tried a little of everything on defense, zone, man to man, blitz the middle, blitz the edges, stack the box, lighten the box…

They played better.

If you are blaming the coaches for effort I can accept that. Maybe it’s the coaches fault but after the half even if the coaches didn’t have your attention the other team should have

You also have to take into context that last season Liberty was down to their 4 string and I think a walkon QB.

Not making excuses just saying everything isn’t always black and white there are always shades of gray

The coaches are responsible for fielding a competent , prepared team. They didn’t. They got totally out coached by a CSA staff. Again

And this is the coaches that are going to bring us to fruition? I’m sorry. I don’t see it.

Are we going to beat our rivals by shitting the bed against a CSA team? I don’t see it.

In this portal/NIL era, 25 may be optimistic.

Hugh won't get a long leash. He was hired with the least leverage of maybe any coach in college football. Getting to the end of the season to shite the bed against a CUSA team made that leash even tighter. That will be used in recruiting and getting embarrassed won't help.

Hope we stocked up the NIL bucks. We'll need them.

The loss was eye opening but I wont think too much bout it.

FSU also lost to Jacksonville State. The team has to get better. We know we suck right now. Doe anybody have the link to the presser; I need to see if Freeze failed the presser.

You aren’t going to get Joe blow to donate $35 a month with effort like this. Especially when AU already gouges the frick out of everyone with ticket prices and everything else.

They failed to turn the roster around within 10 months after a half decade of attrition and cultural rot so Freeze must be a bum right.

Freeze will easily get to the ‘25 season. That’s what I’m talking about calm the frick down.

Today was a terrible game however way you want to spin it as a loss, bad loss, worst loss in Auburn history… at the end of the day that doesn’t matter. Stack talent and see where you line up in ‘25 and ‘26. That’s where we are.

Freeze is a bum because we just got curbstomped by New Mexico State and he has a history of perplexing losses. I’m not sure I see a problem with not having faith he’ll turn us into a contender.

No, Freeze should get another season of course. Auburn doesn’t need to be a revolving door like Tennessee was for years. For now, there is some hope that things will get better because recruiting has improved.

But I do believe that Freeze did not expect what he inherited and wasn’t mentally prepared to address it. I think he believed the rebuild would be easier than it is in reality. This team was kind of ham-handedly put together in a very short period of time. Everyone is still trying to figure things out, but there is little indication that there has been improvement in that area this season. There is little to no identity for the whole as a team, which indicates that people are pulling in different directions and not moving forward together.

The quality of the team will improve, but gosh, how do you show up at home and lose by 21 to a Conference USA team? After a 3 game win streak? Did they just mail it in and decide to take the week off? Lack of talent showed up tonight, but the team played like they didn’t even want to be there.
